An Officer and a Millionaire by Maureen Child When I couldn't sleep last night, I went through the carousel on my Kindle. Then I went through the 12 shelves containing my TBR pile. Nothing just jumped out at me. Until I found this 2009 book by Maureen Child. I'm not sure how it slipped my attention before now but once I pulled it off the shelf and read the opening, I knew this was just the ticket. This is "vintage" Harlequin Desire. It's fun, a bit sexy, and slightly improbable but that's the allure! Hunter Cabot is a Navy SEAL. He's also...more
This was an okay read. Hunter is a super hero but she's just too good to be true. So pathetic, so willing to do anything to look after Simon [Hunter's grandfather] and so willing to look after the town. She made my teeth hurt with her over-the-top sweetness. And the whole public displays of affection were just so cheep. No one should be subjected to that kind of writing. A nice escape in a quick read.
read this book a lon time ago,it was a good read though the hated the fact the hero does'nt trusts heroin almost the till the end thinks she has tricked his grandfather to marry him(it was a proxy marriage)

Heroin had her resons to marry by proxy since she does'nt wants a hubby and agrees to the deal cause she is kind of bonded with grandfather and she loves him and town ppl

It was a nice story my only problem was heroes mistrust towards heroin even after he sees for himself she is good woman

Tapi Margie kadang keras kepalanya ga ketulungan...kalo dia ga mau sama Hunter, ya Hunter-nya buat aku aja :p
Great book. It was a quick read, but the author pulls you in from the beginning, making it difficult to put down.

I'll get a longer review here at a later date. All that I can say is that: it's too short!
This was cute and a crazy story that was hard to put down!!!
