WARNING-May seem rant-ish and contain several typos, as I was typing fast.

I'm you're ordinary [rabid] Warriors fan, eager to snap up the latest book, disregarding genre or length. Imagine my excitement when I found out-New graphic novel, coming out April 24! If only then I would stop and come to the conclusion that this "graphic novel" was really a poorly written comic book with awful artwork.

Let's start with the plotline. To put it in a nutshell, ThunderClan warrior Graystripe is taken away fro

A nice graphic novel, all about Graystripe!
One of my sons tried to read the first Warriors book; I think in an attempt to read a thicker, more grown-up feeling book. We worked on it together for a while and he told me that he "was allergic to this book because he's allergic to cats." I asked if that was his way of saying he didn't want to read and it and he replied that yes, he thought it was really boring and wanted to stop. I thought we were done with the series.

Well, at the library last night he found this graphic novel of the first b

Hunter, Erin. Warriors: The Lost Warrior (2007): Series #1. This graphic novel is done in the style of a manga comic. It is not in comic strip form but rather in blocks of scenes with simple black and white images and speaking bubbles that emphasize sound like in a fight and blunt dialogue. Graystripe is a wild cat from the forest that belongs to with the thunderclan and considers himself a warrior that knows how to fight, hunt, and protect his clan. Many wild cats join the starclan, which means ...more
Well, I'm thinking this would've been better as a nice long novel. Like one of those super editions. (I love firestar's quest.) There just could have been so much growth. I've never liked greystripe, and this just. Made it that much worse. :( he's a whining self-centered brat. I mean we saw that when he went and chose silverstream over his clan. And then chose riverclan. Yes, I know it was for his babies, and I get that that sort of tings makes for a good story. Forbidden love, divided loyalties ...more

This was a really good, quick read which I really enjoyed. Millie was an interesting character to meet and Greystripe was drawn to be incredibly handsome and bold. I really love the portrayal and plot of this edition and I look forward to reading the other two in the set so I can see how this particular story ends!

You know, as hokey as the Warrior's books are, they're actually not too bad. I'm embarrassed to say that I even kind of like them. I'm pretty sure I would have thought they were they most amazing books ever when I was in about fourth grade.

The appeal of the Warriors series is great in my school, but often the books are just too challenging for some of the students. So, imagine my pleasure to see that this beloved series is now out in manga style. The kids are going to love it! This particular episode has Graystripe, second in command of the Thunderclan, captured by two-legs and adopted by a family who are nice to him, but Graystripe longs for the woods and his home. When Graystripe is beaten in battle by a kittypet, he fears he ha ...more

Not a huge fan of manga but I am happy to have seen how Graystripe and Millie first met. I'm a little disappointed in how easily overwhelmed Graystripe is. Talltail (Tallstar) seemed to do better when he went through twolegplaces though they both need guides for sure. But at least Talltail didn't just give up.

Anyways, its a good thing he has Millie and they begin their adventure in search of the clans together. I feel sorry for her housefolk though, being a housefolk person myself. It is sad whe

I have bee working my way through all the Warrior Cats books f o r the last 6-7 years. Needless to say, I am a huge fan. This is a quick read and the text is simple and to the point. If you are new to the series, I would suggest starting with Into the Wild so you can get the most satisfaction from the manga when you have got to know the characters. However, it's perfect for fans who want to learn what really happened to Greystripes when he is captured, as we never get the full story In the novel ...more

I am an always fan of Manga and when looking at the bookstore, "Warriors:The Lost Warrior" stood out with all the others in the series of chapter books and Manga.

This book this a fast read, with me finishing it in 20 minutes. The storyline is about Graystripe, a wild cat who lives with a warrior clan. Graystripe is then broken up with his clan and is lead to a suburban household. He then comes accustomed to living with his "two legged" family. He explores his new life and meets an interesting ca

Again, this is a re-read, but a really enjoyable one nevertheless! You can read these in around 15-20 minutes, so they're extremely quick reads!

Characters - 5/5 - Love them! Graystripe is an EXCELLENT character; he's always been one of my favourites. I just love his personality and the way he acts around everything. He also showed a lot of emotion in this particular book. And then Millie came along as a kittypet who was so great at hunting and fighting. The relationship between Graystripe and Mi

This is a nice brief comic that introduces readers to the Warriors series. Greystripe is a warrior cat of the Thunderclan, a tribe of wild cats (presumably descended from feral cats) who live in the forest. Warriors are scouts, hunters and combatants in the many inter-clan wars. He's lived a long a full life, but is a widower who has seen his kittens die as well. As the story begins, human construction crews are cleaning out the forest, capturing the cats to send them to the pound. Greystripe ma ...more

I did a reading challenge this year that includes the stipulation that I read a graphic novel. This book was checked out to my son from the local library and happened to be in front of me on the counter, so I read it. It wasn't bad. I had read the first Warrior book from Erin Hunter aloud with my son so I knew who the main character (Greystripe) was from that. Many details about the books were revealed in this so I would recommend reading the books first if you are worried about spoilers.
I don't remember when I exactly read this manga but it was this year so my Date finished is going to be set for today as a result of this.

I was given the set by a friend of mine who no longer wanted them...I won't say no to a free book(s)..I just took forever to actually read them.

All the books in this mini series (of 3) are cute and the stories are good too...Nothing outstanding but for a light nights read it's worth it if you're a fan of the Warriors series or just curious.

This quick to read manga (cartoon) book is probably best for cat lovers. It starts the tale about a heroic cat, used to living wild in the woods, captured trying to rescue other cats, and given to a family as a 'kittypet.' Despite the enticements of a soft life, he yearns to be free again. Cat lovers like me will enjoy and find amusing. I don't think there's enough there for anyone else to really get into this.

This book is about a wild cat that gets captured by humans and he has to take on the domestic cat life, which he believes to be weak. He struggles to try and return the Forrest where his clan is. He meets another domestic cat and they befriend each other. This book wasn't my favorite...probably because I despise cats, but I did like the graphic novel style. I liked how fast I made it through the chapters.

This is the first book in the Graystripe's Trilogy series of manga/graphic novels, which details the journey Graystripe took from the time he was cat-napped from the Two-leg place on the rescue mission to save other clan cats until the time that he is reunited with the clans. It shows how he and Millie get together and how their relationship developed.

This is an entertaining story and gives the reader more background about Graystripe's experiences away from the clans that we'd never read about

Graystripe's clan has been caught! As he and other cats work to free those that are already in cages, the plan backfires and Graystripe is carried off in a van, and is sent to live with 'Two-Legs' (humans). As years pass, he grows soft, but never forgets his fellow warriors. After a particularly startling dream from his former mate, he decides to try to escape and find his clan. It's difficult, as his domestication has made his sense of direction weak and he hasn't had to fight anyone in years. ...more
