Welcome to Los Angeles, birthplace and residence of Tori Spelling. It’s not every Hollywood starlet whose name greets you on a Virgin Airways flight into la-la land. But Tori Spelling has come to accept that her life is a spectacle. Her name is her brand, and business is booming. Too bad when your job is to be yourself, you can’t exactly take a break.

Tori finally has every...more

I love Tori Spelling. I love her show, Tori & Dean, and I love her other books, so it's no surprise that I enjoyed this book. Unlike the others though, many parts of this book are actually part of the show, just more fleshed out, so if you watch the show I'm not sure you'll want to spend the money to read this book (that's why I love the library!).

Overall, if you're a Tori Spelling fan, you'll probably like the book. It's Tori being Tori, taking us inside her crazy life as she tries to figur...more

I have been wanting to read this one for awhile now and last week I bought it used on Amazon. I read both of her other two books and loved them from the start, this one I was a bit slower to warm up to. It did kick in and I was hooked, but not right from the start. I can't identify what it was about the start that didn't catch me, it could have just been built up anticipation since I thought the others were so funny.

Tori admits to being a workaholic who has trouble ceding control to others. I th...more

Uncharted TerriTORI is the third book written by Tori Spelling (sTORI Telling and Mommywood come before it). Since catching an episode of Tori&Dean Home Sweet Hollywood I’ve been interested in Tori, which prompted me to buy her first book, second and now this one.

I really like reading her stories, she’s a great story teller. Reading her confessions of fear of Dean getting into a motorcycle accident or how she’s on guard with her mother, is something all of us can relate to on some level. So...more

Uncharted terriTORI by Tori Spelling continues the story of Tori’s infamous Hollywood life. A huge Spelling fan, I’ve raved about her other two books, but I’m not so sure I had the same reaction reading Tori’s third memoir.

Whereas Spelling’s first book focused on her relationships and her second book focused on being a mom, this third book took on life in the limelight and the ups and downs that come with fame.

The thing I LOVED about the other two books was that Tori Spelling seemed so down to e...more

I've been a fan of Tori Spelling since my senior year of high school, when I began watching Beverly Hills, 90210 and started a love affair that would last -- well, until now. My hours watching the 1990s teen drama are vastly reduced now, but there was a time when I watched it every week when a new episode aired, then in following years when reruns came on every morning and every afternoon -- for two hours each time. Ah, the days when FX and Soap Network were part of my life... To this day, if I...more

I don't know what happened to this girl. Unless she was just writing outright lies in the first book, I'm baffled by this latest tale of her life. I don't know why she would want to put this out there as a representation of what/whom she wants people to think she "really" is and what she's like.

The ENTIRE book is about how she's a workaholic self-proclaimed "Mini-Mogul" and basically the best mom ever because she can't reliquish control to anyone with anything done with her kids. She doesn't wa...more

Sadly I have to say that this book was the worst out of all 3 of Tori Spelling's memoirs. After reading her other books and watching her reality show there wasn't much in this book that I didn't already know. I did enjoy the chapter written about how she made amends with her mother..that was touching.
I had bookmarked a page in her book (on my iPad- love the bookmark feature!)about her visit to a Reiki practitioner who helped her deal with her fear of flying among other things. I could relate to...more

it's hard to compare this book with Tori's first two. if you've seen her TV show, then you've pretty much read this book. and I supposed that's what makes this one harder to enjoy- since before you really felt like you were getting a new piece of information.

I felt like I was having a panic attack the entire time I was reading this book. her thoughts are so scatterbrained and busy, it was sometimes hard to follow her logic.

I am hopeful for her that she can have a relationship with her mother, as...more

I liked this book. If you watch the Tori & Dean shows on Oxygen, this book is pretty much a summary of everything they've gone through on the show. I guess in a way it would have to be since it is her life.

The nice part is you got to read her impressions of spending Christmas at her mother's house, the first time she had seen her mother face to face in 2 years. I'm so glad to see that they're speaking again and in eachother's lives. I think Tori is right too; both of them let the ragmags bl...more

I like her books. They are not going to win a Newbery Award or anything, but they are a fun read! I am over compulsive and can totally relate to her over thinking everything. I am a baker, and can also relate to the total disappointment when someone brings a store bought good and it is still in the store packaging! (Sandra Lee has some good tips on how to spurce up a store bought item for those with limited time, hint).

Tori has a writing style that "goes all over the place." She jumps from idea...more

This book isn't fine literature (anyone reading this and knows who Tori Spelling is should be well aware of this), but it's an entertaining look into the life of Tori Spelling. What makes this book slightly better than her two previous books (yes, Tori Spelling has written three books!) is that she seems to have emotionally matured from her previous books. In Uncharted TerriTORI she writes more about the present and future rather than rehashing her childhood and family drama, which was a major f...more

I can't stop reading these memoirs. I blame my mother. My unassuming mother is, apparently, a huge fan of Tori Spelling and her reality TV show. Who'd have thunk it? Anyway, she raved about Spelling's first memoir and insisted I read it. I did so it would keep her happy. Needless to say, I ended up loving it. Everything I thought about her and how she thinks was wrong.

I think she may be pumping these out too quickly though. This covered such a small period of time that it's starting to feel like...more

I chose this book looking for some light and gossipy reading and I was not disappointed. This book is just like her TV reality series which I found to be one of those trashy tv programmes that you just cannot help watching. If you have seen the TV series or read any of the gossip then there are really no surprises here. The segment about her illnesses did annoy me slightly (going to the ER because of a headache) but I guess that is because I live in England where we have GP so therefore don't ne...more

Since I reserve my one star ratings for books I can't finish I had to give this one two stars since I did make it through, but that does seem quite generous.

I'm not sure why - probably because of my teenage years of watching 90210, or my feeling of obligation since I read her first two books - but I'm back with a review of her third book.

Much like the first two I was unimpressed - and actually quite turned off - by her stories of her "normal" life being a mom.

I mean really with writing like - we...more

I probably could have spent those hours in a better way but I didn't. I spent them reading all three Tori Spelling books. I can't even say why exactly. I mean, there are zillions of celeb biographies out there that I wouldn't bother with and I'm not a huge Tori Spelling fan girl by any stretch. But there is something compelling about her story. The dazzling wealth and the early fame and the scathing, bitter criticism and bullying by the press that has been a part of her life for so long. What is...more

Just bought this book! Can't wait to read it!

UPDATE: Read it in 2 1/2 days. AMAZING BOOK! I love how Tori writes-she is so honest and doesn't hold back. It was great to hear how she was so sick, from H1N1, then she was making herself sick from working so much.

Here's my "open note" to Tori:

Dear Tori-
Honey, we (the fans) love you, we don't want to see you sick. If you take a break from all your jobs for a few weeks, I KNOW nobody would judge you. Yes, you have all these irrational fears (as you p...more

As I listened to Mommywood on a road trip last summer, I discovered the awesomeness that is listening to Tori Spelling's Audiobooks. Uncharted TerriTORI might be the most revealing of all of her books. Tori shares a lot of herself in this autobiography. She is absolutely adorable, a little kooky, and a normal person. She's a workaholic and a perfectionist, constantly self-critiquing; someone with whom so many of us women can identify. I enjoy hearing all of her stories and I appreciate how open...more

I felt like sTori Telling and Mommywood were perfect for some mind candy, so when I borrowed Uncharted teriTORI from a friend, I knew I was in for another quick and leisurely read. Uncharted TeriTORI picks up where Mommywood leaves off and once again readers find Tori struggling to balance work, family, and her relationships. She is dealing with turning her brand into a business while also trying to raise her kids in the limelight. Of course there's more of Tori's laugh out loud moments that any...more

I read her first book sTORItelling, but missed Mommywood altogether. They were both fast reads and I got through this in just a few hours time. Since I haven't watched their show since Stella was born I didn't know most of the events/stories from this latest edition. Wasn't great, but wasn't awful either.

I know she grew up "rich", and that she was accustomed to nice, designer items in her prior Spelling Dynasty life, but I found it really annoying how she continually "label dropped" throughout...more

This book is a fast, easy, brain candy kind of read.

In most of the reviews I've read on Uncharted TerriTORI, this is the least liked compared to her other two books. But Uncharted TerriTORI is actually my favorite. True, Tori is very neurotic and it is weird to read about her fascinations with psychics and self-healers, but I loved the fact that she is very candid, admits her faults and makes fun of herself and her strange and totally out-there ideas.

What I really loved about this book though is...more

This is a book that is completely out of the norm for me. I have a curiosity about celebrities and how they manage their lives as an actor, spouse, business owner, relations with family, writer, mother/father, home manager etc. It intrigues me. I'm interested and curious about learning from anyone how they overcome obstacles in their lives. So to be honest, i enjoyed reading about Tori and her daily struggles. She seems very real and i can appreciate that about her. (i have never watched any of...more

It took me a while to hop on the Tori Spelling bandwagon. I was never a fan of hers during 90210 and didn’t care to see her movies or give her a second thought, really. Then her reality show came out and two of my girlfriends (LibraryLove being one of them) talked about how much they loved her and how funny she was on her show with her family. So I sighed heavily and watched an episode of the show. I was surprised to find I actually liked her! Tori’s wit and humor cracked me up and her sweet rel...more

In the Tori Spelling books, she talks about a day in the life of her. She tells personal stories and the fun she had. All of the experiences she learned from and everything. She has a lot of funny stories along with ones that are serious.
I love the books by Tori. I like how it is by the person the stories are about. I also like how you know the stories are true and some of them you can relate to. You know it's not just a made up story but it actually happened to someone. I think that is a really...more

I love Tori Spelling so there was no way I would skip this book even with some of the bad reviews. I found it wasn't as good as the first two, but I was able to finish it in one day and am glad I read it. I think this book was written more for her than for her fans, a bit of a healing book for Tori. It dealt with a lot of things that I haven't seen on their show, which was nice. I felt I got to see another side of Tori, she always tries so hard to appear perfect that I had no idea of all the phy...more

CONFESSION: I love Tori Spelling. She utterly and totally amuses me beyond belief. I watch her show, follow her twitter, and … own all three of her books.

Really. I do. I can’t help it. I think she is fabulous.

This latest book, Uncharted Territori, it is different from her previous two tomes. This third foray into the lit scene seems to be more personal. And while Tori always appears honest & open in her bios, this one seemed to wash away that last layer of celebrity, and show her true naivet...more

I am a huge Tori Spelling fan. I love her tv show Tori & Dean and have read her first two novels, sTori Telling and Mommywood. This third book is an extremely brief read and if you are a fan of her reality tv show and saw the 5th season- there is NO need to buy/read this book. The book's timing aligns with the most recent season of Tori & Dean and there is barely any new material. I was saddened by this and feel like the publishers rushed the book to press to profit on the momentum of To...more

I never watched Beverly Hills 90210, but was curious about Tori Spelling's first book after hearing so many people talk about how candid she was about her life and how grounded she is. Intrigued, I read her first, second, and now this, her third book. I find her stories mostly entertaining with some mild eye-rolling thrown in at times; her kids are at the ages where they say and do really funny things, so that is fun to hear about. One thing I really like about Spelling is that she doesn't take...more

I am an unapologetic Beverly Hills 90210 fan (the original, that is). There, it's out in all its embarrassed and shameful glory. As such, I am also a fan of Tori Spelling as well as her now defunct series So NoTORIous and the current Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood. Don't judge.

I enjoyed Tori's first book, sTORI Telling. I found it to be much like So NoTORIous - - refreshing, able to make light of her own celebrity, laugh at herself and appearing honest. Tori is humorous and it came throu...more
