It’s another summer in Pebble Beach, Maine for the extended Tuttle family and particularly cousins Jessica, Lara, and Greer. With this summer come new goals. Jessica wants to get closer to her boyfriend Connor, Lara wants to be more honest with the people she cares about, and Greer wants to find a trustworthy guy. But it wouldn’t be summer at Pebble Beach if there wasn’t some kind of romantic trouble. Jessica and Connor are in love, but Connor seems to be spending a lot of time with another girl...more
Jessica, Lara, and Greer are wealthy 17 year olds who join their families in a trio of beach houses for the summer. It’s a summer of parties, boys, and designer clothes, but the hot guys are flirting with other girls and Greer’s mom and Lara’s boyfriend is off at camp but shows up just as she’s enjoying Marco’s company. There’s plenty of booze and sex, and did I mention the designer clothes?

Girls in Love is an amazing book. Ms.Abbott did an amazing job writing this book. Her characters Jessica,Greer, and Lara are teenagers and are having the best summer, or they think. Jessica thinks her boyfriend Conor is cheating on her with his friend Lily. Greer says she's done with players but meets a guy named Hunter Brown. She claims he's the player but who really is. On top of that, her mother is throwing herself at younger men. And then there is Lara. She supposely suppose to go out with J...more

Teenage permiscuity and underaged drinking. Am I the only person who didn't experience those things in my teenage years? I hated the book. There didn't seem to be any parental supervision, and perhaps it's just because I had parental supervision growing up. I suppose that it was an okay book for teen years, but I think it gives the wrong impression. I knew I was in trouble when in the first chapter they quoted Britney Spears!
This series has a certain very specific quality to it, sort of a fantasy of how summer should be, with very evocative settings, that is addictive. This book was entertaining, but not nearly salacious enough -- better, more intriguing love interests are needed, along with more development of the four new girls (right now they're essentially lesser clones of the "Summer Boys" girls).
I thought this book was pretty good. I wouldnt say that it sis my favorite, though. I think that the author should have made the book a lot longer because I wanted a book that would be entertaining snd full of drama and actually take longer to read, however, it was full of drama but it only took me two days to read. Other than that, it was pretty good.
Girls In Love is like most Hailey Abbott books; about love. This story is about three girls trying to find love.On of them has a boyfriend, but when she leaves for turtle beach she meets a boy with dreamy blue eyes. The other girl had a nasty fight with her ex-boyfriend a couple of years back but when she sees him at turtle beach that old flame ignites. And then the third one cant handle it when her boyfriend moves to michigan and puts a strain in their relationship. I didnt really like this boo...more

This book is really good. It is really one of those books u can get into. I have learned that things in this book really do happen to girls out there.

Awh I'm so upset I won't be able to read about the Tuttle family's summers at Pebble Beach anymore :/ I wish Hailey Abbott would write a few more books in the Summer Girls series. They're such fun books to read. Perfect for summer, especially since I can just relax and read them and not have to think!
