Recommends it for: new directors, actors or Hollywood enthusiasts
I bought this along with a few other Hollywood books before moving here. This one was actually better than the How to Make it in Hollywood and most of what I have read in Hollywood books.


It breaks down the entire industry from jobs, positions, film making, how to break in, what to expect etc. Very informative and great for any beginners to Hollywood of hopefuls planning on movie out west to tinsel town.

It is a fast paced book that will keep your interest.

This book breaks down the entertainment industry job by job while providing entertaining vignettes about the author's experience working in Hollywood. If you don't find a career that interests you in this book, then maybe this industry isn't for you.
