Gorgeous, sumptuous collection of pictures of the favorite frocks of designers and other fashion types. The descriptions of the dresses could be longer, but the pictures are exquisite, and the clothes run a fascinating gamut from utterly wearable (yes, ridiculous concept) to not terribly useful off a catwalk. As is often the case with high-end clothes, there are some genuinely interesting ideas about how to structure a dress. Really a lovely book.
Really enjoyable to flick through- a good photo/text balance and a fantastic selection of designers. Its quite revealing about how they perceive their brands- Valentino's choice was a bit disappointing yet unknowns submitted great pieces. Really interesting- I'd thoroughly recommend it.
