THREE & A HALF STARS Nice intro into what I have a feeling will be a great series. I like Ruby and Leo. Leo's very possessive and kinky, BTW which led to some hot scenes. The weird transition into scenes threw me off at times but the story definitely came across. I am so anxious to see what's happening in the next book since it left at the cliffhanger-ish note for Moira's story.

I love the Hob (just from the little that we see of him in this book). Happy to see he'll be getting his book soon....more

I’ve been waiting for this book since I discovered Ms. Bell and her Halle Pumas earlier this year. I’ve had fun reading about those shifting cats and the humor in those books is terrific. I knew I wouldn’t be getting cats in this first book in her new series, but I figured I’d get her humor, something which she’s very good at.

But I sure didn’t get any. But Ms. Bell made up for that lack with an intense and intriguing story. The book starts out with the hero and heroine coming together at a compa...more

This was a quick, fun little read. One of those books that are perfect for an evening in between the "heavy" series I usually read. High on the erotic content, but also surprisingly interesting plotwise, this first book in the Gray Court series features a half-fae, half sprite hero finally tracking down his destined mate in the form of quiet, shy Ruby.

Ruby works for Leo's company, and her massive crush on her boss is not going away. Convinced she has zero chance with someone like him, Ruby does...more

For a good portion of his nearly century-long existence, Leo Dunne has been waiting and hoping to catch that one elusive scent that would bring love and joy to his life, the scent of the one person born just for him. When he caught scent of Ruby Halloway, saw her bent over a file cabinet in his company, he knew he wanted her desperately and thought she may be the one. Ruby, who has had a crush on Leo for ages, did what any shy girl would do when the object of her deepest desire focused on them.....more

I immediately deleted this book from my Nook when I finished it.

It was too much for me and I hated the over possessivness of Leo. I love reading about guys who are protective and possessive to a point but, for me, this was too much. I didn't find it attractive at all. I felt like Ruby didn't have a choice or a voice. Her character's only attribute was a moderate sense of humor but otherwise, she was a weak character who couldn't think for herself. Ruby just went along with whatever never really...more

This book is the exception to my rule. She took the realization that fairies and leprechauns truly exist very well. I'm usually turned off by such easy exception of fantasy/myth creatures being real but she makes jokes about it- which is what I would do and and towards the end she questions it again.

The book really surprised me. It started out pretty quickly with sex and I was like "OK what kind of book am I reading or is it just Penthouse Form?" But it went on to have a good plot and likable c...more

Warning! This book contains very explicit and graphic sex scenes with some bondage and some things not meant for those of faint heart. Having said this, I'll let you know what I thought about the book.

This book is about fairies, elves, leprechauns, hobs, vampires and more. Leo Dunne is the CEO of his company, he's more than 6", totally gorgeous and he's a Fae. Ruby Holloway is a barely 5" of curvalicous beauty who doesn't think that the hottest guy and the one who gets her blood racing can ever...more

Leo Dunne has waited patiently hoping that oone day he would find his bondmate, a rarity but if found a lifetime of love is guaranteed. Leo had not realized his mate was right under his nose the whole time, but now that he has caught her scent he has tried valiantly to ge her attention but to no avail.

Ruby Halloway has had a crush on her boss since the first moment she saw him, but her insecurities from her past have her running in opposite directions whenever he is near. When Leo approaches her...more

I liked the Halle Puma series so when I saw Dana Marie Bell had a series with sidhe, leprechauns and I would assume other mythical creatures how could I pass it up? I must admit the story jumped right into Leo making his move on Ruby which surprised me; I assumed the chase would be more of the story but it wasn’t. But I love the characters though, the Dunne family is just fun. The problem is an old marriage contract is being forced onto Leo and in order to “twist his arm” the Malmayne clan kidna...more

Very interesting book!!!

Leo has been after Ruby since he first saw her at work and with the help of her friend he manages to get her. After some trust issues Ruby finally lets him into her life and succumbs to the delicious sensations he can give her. Leo receives news of a family emergency and takes Ruby with him. This is where she learns the true Leo which takes a lot to trust and strength to believe in what he is saying.

Leo is definitely one hot bloke and certainly hotter when he fulfils Rub...more

This was a shorter book, but not too short. I enjoyed the characters and the story. I always like a humorous romance and this definitely fit the bill. Leo and Ruby have worked together for several years. She has always had a crush on the handsome CEO and he was never able to get time with the beautiful woman in accounting he knew would be special to him, believed her to be his mate. I love the relationship between the two and his relationship with his family. When Leo's brother is kidnapped to t...more

Rudy is 5'0 and very curvy, but she thinks she is fat, not the case, she also have the hots for her boss
Leo Dunne, CEO of Fantasy Events.

The man has black hair, brilliant green eyes, and a body to die for all wrapped up in Armani suit.

What could be wrong with him?

1.An insane woman want ro marry him at any cause and kidnipped his brother.

2. He is half sidhe and half lepechaun?

Nothing much...this book contains some explici sex and grahic language, but it fit this story.

I really like the story....

Book 1 so I am going to assume I'll get more character development as we move through the books. This one was good but not great. It seemed to lack some depth even though the hero and the heroine were both really likeable.

Very possessive of each other which was great to see. Well written as Dana tends to be. The bad guy was a little over the top in the cliche of truly evil and we really don't see much of her that shows how they got to that point. In fact, perhaps that's what was missing generall...more

Wow I have no words!

Another fantastic book by Dana Marie Bell, but then again I have come to expect nothing less from her. I must say this book threw more surprises at me than I was expecting. I really didn't expect the supernatual aspect and I really have to say that this is the first fae book I've loved in a long time!

Ruby is not my ultimate feamle lead but she was great, the only thing the bugged me a bit was the 'daring' thing. It just seemed a bit weird and random but I understand Bell's re...more

2.5 stars - This book started a slow, but then about 30% the way through when Leo's brother is kidnapped, and Leo and Ruby go to his family's home...that's when the story picked up and also started to introduce the Fae. The world building around the Fae was interesting. I liked the 'white court', 'gray court', 'black court' organization, as well as the original explanations how vampires came about. The leprechaun earth magic was very cool. Also, the true bonding process was original and well dev...more

Interestingly enough, I hadn't read any Fae books recently and this one really hit the spot. Leo's been drawn to Ruby since the first time he caught her scent. Unfortunately, Ruby does everything in her power to stay out of her charismatic boss' way. A night of bliss and one kidnapped sibling later and Leo will do anything to keep his mate by his side. The kidnapping of Leo's brother gave the story something extra. I liked Jaden and I'm very interested in seeing how Jaden, Duncan and Moira play...more

This was not my usual genre, so I felt a little lost at first with all of the mythical creatures and their relationships with one another - or maybe the author should have done more to set that part of the story up. That said, the rest of the story was good. The chemistry was interesting and the characters colorful. I liked the action and twists. It was good, not great. It didn't make me want to read the rest of the series but I also enjoyed it as a short, quick read.

I can NOT believe that I not only bought this book but slam dunked it in less than 24 hours! This type of book is not usually anything I eould be drawn to but damn if it didn't grab on to me without any mercy, totally captivating my imagination...before I knew it, I was on the last page! Onto book two! My book club ladies will not believe it! I truly did dare to believe...the result? I'm a firm believer! Thank you Dana Marie Bell! Very well done!

I just finished the third book of this series. I got this book free and very surprised. I thought after reading the book description this book was going to be another modern day romance to my surprise it is a moder n day romance with the delighted twist of fae and BDSM. It is like combing my favorite authors, Karen Marie Moning, E LJames and J R Ward together and voila you have the Gray Court Series. I can not wait until January for the fourth book to be released!

Downloaded on a whim because it was free. I have to say this was a totally crazy, wacky read - I LOVED it! I can see how the craziness might turn some people off, but I've always liked a bit of crazy ;)

Leprechauns, Fairies, Vampires, half-breeds, hot sex, tongue-in-cheek sex, and sparkling lights of lust... If you want a read to cheer you up, and are happy to go with the flow and not take it all too seriously, this one's worth it :)

This book was a total winner for me. I love any story with a fae theme and this one was packed full of it, Lepracauns, vampires, seelie, unseelie, various courts (gray, white and black).
Mix all those in with a bit of erotica (yum) and you have a pretty enjoyable book.
I really like Leo and Ruby although I would of liked to have found out a bit more about Rubies background, especially why she thought she was so unworthy. Anyway the story was still good, alot was packed in there but not overmuch....more

My first book in this genre which I purchased without reading the synopsis because the price was right. I loved it. If I had read the reviews and prologue I probably would have passed it by (glad I didn't). Leo the boss having only seen a colleague from the rear in a busy office block is drawn by the women's scent that speaks MINE!!. With the help of a friend of Ruby's the shy women of his dreams a plot is hatched to meet face to face. What ensues thereafter draws the reader into the twists and...more

Bland doesn't even cover my experience with this novel. I can't say it's a bad book, but unfortunately neither I can say there's something good.

Plot is ..Plot is. So are the characters. Every single facet of this book is shallow. Not even a lazy winter afternoon with some snow made this story a nice way to spend time.

This author and I are never going to be on the same wavelength. :)

HELLO, this book was hot!!! Alpha male, sweet girl who isn't a size zero anorexic like most of them. This girl had curves and he loved it! Usually I'm not into paranormal stuff (someday I'm going to have to stop saying that) but this was a great book. Loved the both of them and especially loved the sex, anal and toys. Doesn't get any better than that! The next book looks like a menage, yeay!!

This book was good but Oh boy did I find it strange.

I liked the main characters and the family but then it kept chopping and changing to a vampire, which I understand he will be one of the main characters in the next one.

I think my favourite characters were the father and the hob.

I think this book might have been better if it was a little longer but still it didn't take long to read.

This was an enjoyable short story.
The author really packed in the suspence, sex and storylines.

there was a lot of plotlines that were resolved and then there were fairly major characters that felt too strong to not have more written about them.

Qwerky and bright I will definately be looking for more from Dana...

I usually don't read the paranormal romances. I'm so glad I read this one! I truly enjoyed the story and the romance of Leo and Ruby. The only thing I thought missing was a little more of the story, glad to see a second book in the series! I'll definitely be reading more from this author!
Zeek
Mediocre paranormal romance but erotic, so gals who love their sex fairly graphic might dig it. This series is all about the fae and magic and Dare To Believe wasnt bad, it just didnt have the chemistry between the h/h to make it interesting enough for me. The next book in the series is a menage, but it's the hero's kid brother's story I'm more interested in.
Marlyn Ortiz
I cant get enough i mean at first it starts kinda unreal and quick but when you start getting to the story it's really good. Although I would love to know more about Leo's and Ruby's story more then just this book in more detail......... but it's a good series!!!!!!!

Dana Marie Bell wrote her first short story when she was thirteen years old. She attended the High School for Creative and Performing Arts for creative writing, where freedom of expression was the order of the day. When her parents moved out of the city and placed her in a Catholic high school for her senior year she tried desperately to get away, but the nuns held fast, and she graduated with hon...more
