After doing some intense research last night I realized this was book 3 of a series. The other two books really should have been read first because I was very lost when it came to who was what (literally), why the bad guys were after them, what different species existed. I also think the hero's behavior in the second have of the book was very immature and ruined all of his good points from the first half. I was very not satisfied with his groveling because well he didn't. He never apologized or...more
I presume you know what the book is about. I'm letting you know what I liked or disliked about it.
Book 3 of the Shadow Dwellers
I'm not so sure how the books connect, it isn't very clear to this reader by checking out the authors website. But, as I read the book description of book 2 it seemed some names were familiar so while I suspect the type of story is different between each book there may be a similar cast of characters throughout the books.

this book is really HOT! cant wait for the next one to come out. I'm hopingits about Renault the panther. The only thing that was puzzling was how fast in the end Erihn turned into a were-cat without waiting til the next full moon like in some of the other were cat books but it was still good the details of the rape and the mystery of her trying to find herself after so long afterwards was heart breaking but hopeful. But to put a a guy like Fayne in there with the leather and the bad boy look wi...more
Gosh this was terrible! The writing was just bad and the tone of the dialogue was inappropriate for the setting. And then to cap it all, the ending was hurried and unfulfilling.
Overall this was just a really poor showing, more like a writing assignment than a novel. However the author has potential.

The way Wilder dealt with horrific, violent, multiple rapings was at the least disrespectful to those with sexual abuse in their past. I was too disgusted to finish.
