This book is amazing in terms of its diversity. The different categories in the book make it a very fun and relaxed read. Each 'experience' is shortly described and some practical information is provided (best season to visit or an website with extra information). A thing I did not like at all about this book was the fact that some things were mentioned several times over. I always find books like this inspiring, and given the state of my budget and my schedule, armchair travel has to suffice most of the time. Perhaps it is just me, but as usual, my only disappointment comes from the fact that books like this tend to cover too many places that are just too exotic, dangerous, or just plain too obscure for most travelers to bother with. Also, only a small part of the population is into participating in extreme sports, but that kind of stuff always gets disproportion...more
This book was so fun. It had some pretty crazy experiences like swimming with killer whales?! Not my idea of a good time. It was also pretty cool because I have done quite a few things in the book. I would recommend for some nice daydreaming.
