I enjoyed this book, just as I have enjoyed all the Lora Leigh books I've read, but I've yet to read one of hers that thoroughly captured me. I guess it's just something about her writing that doesn't completely engage me in the stories.

Though this book is the eighth book in the Bound Hearts series, it can be read as a stand-alone with no problems. The characters are all new (as far as I can remember) and the basic premise of the series is easy to understand reading the beginning of this book. S
This took me awhile to get through for 2 reasons. (1) the character Mac was pissing me off! I felt he was forcing his wife into a ménage relationship without much discussion. So I quit, and re-read another book. (2) unrelated to book, see below.

While the book was definitely hot, and I'll certainly read Lora Leigh again, I had some difficulty especially in the beginning. In addition to Keiley's husband bothering me, I also found Keiley to be a little unbelievable. If Mac would speak to her in a
What I like about Lora Leigh books is they go beyond the hot scenes with kinky fantasy guys - they have plots and characters and visual settings. This one has a well done stalker plot - although I'm not sure the bad guy's hiding place is very feasible.

The romance plot starts 3 years into a marriage where the hero has been treating the heroine like a 19th century maiden - very vanilla even though that is not his usual taste. Now he's bringing along his darker tastes [without discussing any of th

Recommends it for: fans of erotic fiction
This is my favorite book in the Bound Hearts series so far. It's very different from the previous books in the sense of the story. I liked the story, the mystery and suspense. The way the characters were described, delved into, and developed were really convincing. Lora Leigh brought the characters to life, she brought out their innermost desires, they were introduced accordingly and she certainly took time in telling the story - not that the pace was slow, but because the focus here is more of ...more

Eighth in the Bound Hearts erotic romance series. The threesome focus is on Keiley, Mac, and Jethro Riggs and, yeah, a bit out of the main stream for this series, as this story takes place on Mac's family farm in North Carolina.

My Take
This is my favorite of the series. I think it's the, seriously, I like this one for the depth to which Leigh takes the characters. It's more of a psychological exploration with the protagonists with the added sensuality of the sex, as well as a peep at

It was definitely a steamy read so no complaints there. However, the way it was written - Keily just seemed to be "peer pressured" into this weird menage, so it doesn't seem healthy to me :) . First off, Mac starts off extremely annoying - keeping his distance, telling her how to dress (no short shorts) so as to not provoke him > why not?! He is her husband, should they not be indulging in their sexualities instead of restraining them?! So she is making him lunch, and he is outside working on ...more
Mac and Jethro have been partners at the FBI since their first day. But they are mor than just that. They are best friends and they enjoy sharing their girls. Mac is the emotional one who has the charm to lure the girls in. Jethro is dark and adds the thrill. The women of the DC men's club oogle over the pair and their powers in bed. But, when Jethro sets eyes on virgin and sweetness Keiley (not at the club obveously) he wants her and steers Mac towards her expecting a call for a third a few mon ...more
4 stars - Romantic Suspense/Erotica/Menage

I love author Lora Leigh, and I had high expectations for this based on reviews I’ve read. Although I didn’t enjoy it nearly as much as her Tempting SEALs and Elite Ops novels, it’s still a blistering hot read with plenty of angst and an uber-alpha male that’s typical of Leigh’s style. My biggest issue with this story is that I didn’t like either of the main characters or find their love/marriage at all believable. The female protagonist Keiley was whiny

Because the author took her time to develop the characters, set the foundation, explored this storyline, this ER was engrossing, exciting and panting for more. To truly understand that Mac & Jethro were parts of a whole, not romantically, you need to see how their pasts riddled with similar pains, how they found each other and pushed each other to their potentials. As Mac helped Jethro to face his demonds, they connected in every facets of life, including loving Keily. Their connectio

I have been slowly making my way through the Bound Heart Series by Lora Leigh. I just finished Book 8, Forbidden Pleasure and I must say I really enjoyed it. It really was more a stand-alone book from the rest of the series. The only connection this book had from the first 7 was the Club. I loved the mystery and suspense that this story held, it keep me guessing till the end. Mac and Jethro were the perfect picture of Alpha Males, they were just yummy. And I loved how Keiley was able to handle t ...more

I read this a while back. Considering my issues with ménage books, it wasn't awful. But I wasn't dazzled by it.

I don't like the random suspense plot thrown in. It felt forced, when the story of a couple making such a decision was story enough. Could have been better.
I absolutely love Lora Leigh, but this incredibly hot read is one of my favorites, the idea of two men worshiping you like Jethro and Mac do with Keiley is the ultimate in yummy fantasy, IMO anyway!! Loved it, would highly recommend!
good read...i just don't get why when switching to mainstream there needed to be an mystery/suspense element to the books...while it was well-written, it didn't add or distract from my enjoyment of the story...

I don't know how this woman manages to make me love a threesome, but she does!

Missione fallita.

I'm sure that part of my objections might have been listening to this on audio; I knew I was taking a chance, but figured I'd never know unless I tried.

I realize that in this genre, authors are a bit limited for vocabulary. But I got tired of certain phrases or concepts getting repeated ("pleasure" appears 38 times, which works out to once every 8 pages.) especially the use of "erotically" or "sensually" with some unusually paired modifiers. There were also dominance/submission issues that were

Didn't even finish this one. This series hasn't really played out well for me. I don't really care for the whole forced seduction angle and that's exactly what it was. This one was far worse for me in my opinion. It seemed like Keiley only wanted to be a good wife and to please her husband. When it becomes obvious (to her) that he can't be happy with her unless he's sharing her with another man (wtf, right?) she does it out of love.

This was the first book in the series to feature characters who
I can't get enough of Lora. Each of her book takes you on a ride worth being on. Five stars is not enough for me to give this book or any others of her's I have read, which have been a lot. Hot, Steamy, Yummy. Stimulating is not enough to describe. These books are not for children but people with open minds. The best, she gives the best!
I have read many of the reviews of other readers of Lora's Books and hope this will help at least a little for those who are a bit taken back by what happens in

This was my favorite of the Bound Hearts series. I think I've read 4 so far and this was the best story. Newly married Keiley and Mac. He used to be a member of this 3-some club and he's given it up for the last 3 years to be exclusively with his wife. By the way, the 3-some are 2 guys and a girl. Jethro used to be his 3rd and when she starts wanting to bring a spark back to their relations and asks about his past, he says she's opened up a pandora's box and now Jethro's coming to visit after st ...more

A real Lora Leigh romance - suspense, hard sex, hot blokes...still fanning myself!

I had high hopes for this book. It was recommended to me by a friend whose reading judgement is generally sound. I had so many problems with this book, mostly because I don't find three way relationships all that shocking. And I certainly don't attribute the desire for one to abuse and neglect in the past (though the psychologist in me finds that a fascinating area of exploration on some level.) The sex, which I'm sure some people find very hot, I found to be a bit mundane and repetitive. It see ...more

E' un romanzetto per l'estate, niente di più.
Avrei voluto dare qualche stellina supplementare.
I've been a fan of Lora Leigh's work for years. She was on my 'always buy' list of authors. I enjoyed this book very much -- except for the fact that the book was badly in need of editing for spelling and grammatical errors. Though the mistakes were not as glaring in this book, they were there. And nothing can be more distracting than having to take the time to figure out what the author was trying to say because the book wasn't properly edited.

loved the premise of the book and the dark sexual tension,
seriously hot !

Good sex but very unrealistic......although maybe it is realistic and my life is just pathetic lol. I'm assuming that people don't generally have 3ways every day as part of their every day life style. Plus I think living with 2 men would totally suck, I love my husband but at times I could punch his pace in, multiply that by 2 and I'm going to prison.....still good sex scenes and good characters.

I love this book. One reason being that there are two heroes and one woman to love them both. I believe this is possible and enjoy the fact that others do too. It was intense, heart-warming, and opens your eyes to possibilities. Ladies!!!!!!
Cold shower anyone? The characters seemed a little unbelievable, but still a fun read.

I decided to re read this one, one of my favourite Lora Leighs and give it one more star,

Lora Leigh lives in the rolling hills of Kentucky, often found absorbing the ambience of this peaceful setting. She dreams in bright, vivid images of the characters intent on taking over her writing life, and fights a constant battle to put them on the hard drive of her computer before they can disappear as fast as they appeared. Lora’s family, and her writing life co-exist, if not in harmony, in ...more
