You guys, I want it! This is a collection of odd, yet awesome hotels that are found throughout the world. Yes, one of them is a bed in a tree. While some are decidedly awkward (stay the night in an oversize dog) most of them elicited more of an "Oh My GOD! I have to stay there right now!!!!1" reaction from me.

I really enjoyed the design of this book, which included beautiful pictures of the exterior, as well as the interior. After reeling me in, the book describes the surr More...

Parts of this book are so cool. I want to stay in about half of these hotels. The titular bed in a tree really got my attention. I think I would really enjoy staying there. I also love the glass top igloo and the underwater hotels. Other were just weird like the art hotel where you can sleep in a coffin. Yuck!

OK, this was very cool. Very cool. Sloane is absolutely dying to stay in the dog hotel (Whole thing is shaped like a beagle) in Idaho. We're going to try to do it sometime. Of course, I'd rather stay in the gypsy caravans in France. Or the glass topped igloos in Lapland. Amazing!

I liked that it not only had the hotels but also information on the surroundings and pricing. I really want to sleep in the treehouse in Africa.

Travel books are not really my thing, but this one grabbed my attention with the eccentric title and theme. The book takes you on a worldwide tour of the fun, strange, and bizarre places you can pay to sleep, from inside a dog to on a platform in the African wildnerness. The places were interesting, and it is chalked full of cool pictures, but the writing itself leaves something to be desired. It is a bit hippie for me, and it gets old quickly, but I guess that is what you have to do when you tr More...

I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the many different places one could stay while on vacation. Did you know you can spend the night in a large wine barrel, in a glass igloo or even an earthen mound? These are just three of the many diverse accomodations mentioned in this book. Each place is described well, the price listed and nearby attractions mentioned.
