Excellent book. Goes beyond the usual Keralan fish curry that is to be found all over the internet and includes some of the traditional festive recipes from the Syrian Christian kitchen.
There are lovely descriptions and photographs explaining the traditional Syrian Christian way of life--even of a time when traveling cooks dropped by to show the ladies of the house how to cook Western dishes.
I can't wait to try out some like the Spicy Mussel Fry (Kallumekka Olathiathu) and the Crushed Spice Fish
