I really enjoyed this one for the history of Brooklyn. Just shortly after reading it, we discovered my husband works in the old American Can Factory building which is part of the outfield for Washington Park, where the original Dodgers played back in like 1912. I'm not usually a history book kind of gal, but this one was really well done. I love getting to the end of each chapter and getting little snippets of other "notables" who grew up in Brooklyn.

The actual oral history interviews were great - the author's own writing and opinions, not so much. Still, worth a read.
