This book has been one of my favorites! I ususally am not a big fan of reading, but this book had totally been amazing. It's about a girl named Georgia who is from Britain, so she uses a lot of unfamiliar words that are fun to read. She was the girlfriend of a boy named Robbie a.k.a "the sex god." He found out something that made him break the relationship, and as you can imagine she got very upset. Georgia really likes him so she does some pretty funny stuff to get his attention. If y...more

This was given to me by a friend. I actually read the first book by this author, which I thought was Bridget Jones but with teenage angst. The best character was Angus the wild cat. The humor was there but wore thin pretty quickly. The best thing about this was the title, IMO.

This book is amazing!!! I'm sure that i didnt' stop laughing through the whole entire thing! This book is about a 14 year old girl named Georgia, who just happens to think her whole world is ending. Georgia has just gotten word that she and her family will be moving to New Zealand for her father's job. Gorgia absolutly hates this idea and tries everything to keep it from happening. On the bright side of all this she has just landed her very own "sex god" whose name is Robbie. even tho...more

I hereby admit that I am a fan-girl of Georgia Nicolson.
Once again, Georgia did not disappoint. This second book in Louise Rennison's all too funny series about young Georgia Nicolson - British teenager extraordinaire - was perfect. It picks up just after she has discovered that Vati (her father) will be moving her family to Kiwi-a-gogo Land (New Zealand) and thus her life is effectually over. After snagging (and snogging) the Sex God (aka Robbie) in the previous book, Georgia is sti...more

Georgia is back and she's as fabulous as ever. I can't read (0r listen) to one of these books without cracking up. Georgia and her friends are so goofy and self-centered (without realizing they're self-centered and without being annoying) that it makes me laugh.
I adored Dave the Laugh-I think he's a great addition and as great as the SG is I think I like Dave the Laugh better. Even though this one centers around Georgia and trying to win Robbie back, the parts I found the most hilari...more

Hah!This book was HILARIOUS!!!! I think that some of the characters are just absolutely crazy.Georgia is quite a character. She is funny and witty sometimes, but to be completely honest it doesn't seem like she's a very nice person. I mean, she bosses around her friends and says really hurtful things about them. Like with Jas. That girl is Georgia's target and she's one of her best friends! I really don't get why any of Georgia friends would want to stay buddies with her.

I got a real kick out of these funny, honest, unsentimental books YA books. I would have loved (and I mean LOVED) them in high school. They're written as the diary of a British girl named Georgia, and she covers all the drama, hilarity, embarassment, etc., of the high school years, only with a delightful Englishness. Really fun, reeeeeeally amusing. I don't imagine they'd meet with much approval from the parents of American teenagers, though- Georgia is pretty frank (even crude- she's a teen...more

The second installment of Georgia’s antics begins right after we just left her. She is gearing up for THE WORST TRIP ever to the other side of the earth, when joyous news is received and Vati (her name for her dad) is coming home! No need to travel away from her Sex God of a boyfriend.
However, this good news is ruined when SG decides that Georgia is too young for him and they can’t see each other. Georgia is heartbroken, but with the help of Men are from Mars, Women are from Venu...more

This is the story of a 14 year old British girl named Georgia. She is a traditional teenager with anxieties about boys, a silly way of looking a life, and nothing ever seems to go her way.
The book is written sort of like a diary, but with time tags on it that made me think of Twitter. The only difference was between Rennison's writing style for this series of books and Twitter is the concept of no word limit in the diary entries.

After reading so many reviews of this series I already have added them on my long tbr list. And now I have the pleasure of reading them before I pick them up at the store. Georgia is fun. A typical teenager with the typical problems. It’s so easy to relate to her, even though my teen years have ended a few years ago. The stuff she writes, just makes you laugh.

Teen girls (12 and up)
This is just the kind of thing I love to listen to on long road trips, short chapters in diary-format, British slang, and a hilarious teen protagonist who thinks she's a boy magnet at one moment and a second later, goes on and on about how big her nose is. Georgia Nicholson is really annoying at some points and incredibly disrespectful, but I still can't help chuckling at the way she describes people and how overly-dramatic she is. I actually enjoyed this one more than the first one (Angus, Thon...more

I decided to read this one back-to-back with Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging. It picks up right where the first book in the series leaves off. Georgia has landed a sex-god boyfriend, but it isn't long at all before the relationship comes to a halt (due to their age difference of about three years).
This book follows Georgia and her attempts to prove her 'maturiosity' and get Robbie back. She goes out with his friend Dave the Laugh, who unfortunately likes her more than she exp...more

Why Georgia Nicolson Rocks
(On the Bright Side, I'm Now The Girlfriend of a Sex God edition)
1. She calls breasts “basoomas” and, less commonly, “nunga nungas”. (“‘Well, he says that if you get hold of a breast and pull it out and then let it go…it goes nunga nunga nunga!’”)
2. She seems obsessed with pants/shorts. Besides the obvious metaphorical “nuddy-pants” and “furry-shorts” (which we see in late...more

Okay, so On the Bright Side, I'm Now the Girlfriend of a Sex God picks up almost exactly where Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging left off (two days later to be specific). As Georgia continues her diary, she is very disillusioned by the prospect of going to visit her father in New Zealand on "the other (useless) side of the universe" instead of having time to spend (snogging) with Robbie--the Sex God.

A great follow up to Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging. The humor flows once again and Georgia's journey continues now as Robbie's girl. She continues to deal with her friends, their relationships, and her family life. The style and the writing really conveys how Georgia is a teen who relates everything back to herself, and it's really quite fun to take the journey with her and harken back to your own teenage years (if you are an adult reader) when many things like boys, your body, and...more

This is the second book, the sequel to Angus, Thongs and Full Frontal Snogging and after reading both, it seems that this is formula fiction. This book was essentially the same as the first one, but with some different details. The book is fun, and in covert ways educational since Georgia mentions educational things while talking. However, Georgia is pretty boy crazy, and the book would most likely not be feminist approved. Georgia is insecure and manipulative, but the book is entertaining. The ...more

This book isn't just funny but it is hilarious lol well this is a continual of the book Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging: Confessions of Georgia Nicolson. The protagonist who is Georgia who is from Britain. And finally she got her boyfriend Robbie. I think it was sooo fun how she found ways to stay with Robbie.I couldn't wait to turn the next page to see what happens next. She is such a silly typical young teenager
