Pretty sure this book was written as a thesis or dissertation, as it reads very factually. It was pretty dry, but interesting as I have been a tour guide in the city where she is buried, and I was curious about her life. While it's not a riveting book, I can recommend it to other Alexandrians, historians, or those interested in early American theatre!
