Loved, loved this book. Then again, what isn’t there to like about a hero with a dark and mysterious past? Linda Warren manages to write such depth into her characters without getting bogged down in angst or going over the top. Her characters are real, likeable and sometimes not so much. Its the level of relatability that makes for a good read, IMO.

The hero is uber sexy and the heroine stubborn enough to get the job done without being a real pain in the butt. They don’t like each other at all in...more

Found a handful of Harlequin SuperRomances in one of my TBR boxes. Snatched this short one up and read it in one night. Well done. Skylar is a feisty heroine who runs the ranch and Cooper is your loner/sexy/cowboy with a past who works for her. Good conflict and satisfactory heat. Not much for kids in a romance, but the heroine's little girl had heath issues and it did not overwhelm the story or the romance. I really liked this. Definitely recommend~

I love all of Linda Warren's books! I think i read about ten of them at least. They're all American romances, they're all about cowboys and Texas. Yet, not one story is the same or shows similarities to the other. They all have their unique characters and story lines and ... they're all great!

This is a sweet contemporary romance that was a nice, quick read. I enjoyed the slow building of trust and attraction between the characters, as well as the interaction between the hero and child.

The book could have used a better editor, and the writing is kind of subpar and childish at times but the characters are believable and lovable. It is definitely worth the read.
