For goth-girl Raven, dating her dream boyfriend is complicated, especially because Alexander's secret means they can only meet at night. I thought the first book was okay since my library didnt have the second book I just went on to the third & I was very very disappointed. See, when I read the first book I was a high school freshman & now I'm a junior in college & this book just seemed so dreadfully disappointing.
First, the author keeps reminding you how "gothic" this girl is. The author basically described shopping at Hot Topic: black lipstick, Nightmare Before Christmas clock, etc. (Don't get me wrong! Nothing is...more

“The official welcome sign to my town should now read, ‘Welcome to Vampireville—come for a bite, but stay for an eternity!’” (Schreiber 394). Here it’s telling at Raven Madison’s town Amityville (Dullsville) is being taken over by a group of vampires named the Maxwells, plus her vampire boyfriend Alexander Sterling. Each character has a dark side and light side. But, which will they pick? The path of good or evil? Would the plot change? Or would it be the same? Would...more

VAMPIREVILLE follows right on the heels of its predecessors, and it is strongly recommended that the previous books in the series, VAMPIRE KISSES and KISSING COFFINS, be read first, otherwise things will not make sense and you're sure to be confused and not fully enjoy the story.
Alexander Sterling is back in "Dullsville," and Raven couldn't be happier about that. However, Jagger and his twin sister, Luna, are also hanging around, which is the reason why Raven has started...more

Read.. Currently on break from the series. I'm on maybe book 6? The first 4books are tolerable. A LOT stupid but there's a little story behind the silliness. Book 5 I remember the story vaguely and it was ok up until the end where my poor mind just couldn't cope with the silliness that I had to set the whole series aside. I've forgotten about this until someone mentioned Vampire Kisses as one of the most popular vampire book so I researched it. I only realize I've read at least 5-6books in the s...more
Alexander Sterling is back in "Dullsville," and Raven couldn't be happier about that. However, Jagger and his twin sister, Luna, are also hanging around, which is the reason why Raven has started carrying garlic in her purse. To make matters worse, now that Luna has been turned into a vampire, she's on the search for her true love, and she's convinced she's found him in Trevor.

I finally came to the conclusion these books are the (very) rated G version of the Sookie Stackhouse novels. Complete with a mystery, odd ball girl with spunk who doesn’t fit in and a hunk of a beau.
In the third installment in the Vampire Kisses series, we have our cast of regulars plus the vampire twins from Romania, Jagger and Luna. Craziness ensues when the twins try to lure Trevor to the dark side (unbeknownst to Trevor) while Alexander and Raven do their best to foil their plans.

Who Should Read It? This book is for middle grade vampire lovers! Also, if you enjoyed the first two, you will like this one even more. If you were only so-so about the first two, I'd say still give this one a try!
What I Have to Say: This series is FINALLY starting to get to me! I enjoyed this book quite a bit more than I enjoyed the first two. In a way, I feel like Ellen Schreiber is finally starting to find her groove.

This book is the third book of the series and i absolutely love it! this book starts out Raven getting in deep trouble because instead of finding her love, she found Alexander nemesis , Jagger. Raven eventually fins Alexander, but she puts herself in a dangerous position, that without Alexander to stand by her side, Raven is going to be dead. now, with more trouble entering Dullsville, Jagger sister, Luna tags along. Jagger and Alexander hated each other becuase Luna was born mortal , while the...more

Alright, since this is the third book, I think it is safe for me to pass judgment sans being harsh about the whole thing.
Book one introduced us to the macabre world of Raven, a goth chick stuck in this perpetually lackluster town, which she has appropriately called "Dullsville". She's basically, the town outcast, and just when she thought she was the only oddball - a mysterious family moves in to the town's creepy Mansion. Here's the bonus kids! Everyone in town thinks the brooding young man tha...more

Vampireville finds our main character, Raven in danger because Jagger's twin sister, Luna has come to town and she is looking for a mate for eternity. It seems Luna was the only child born to her parents that was human. ALexander's family agreed that when they were older, Alexander would turn her. However, Alexander had other plans that did not include Luna. So, Luna found another vampire to do the deed but not on hollow ground. She now has decided to find a human to turn who will be hers for et...more
I like this series because it's differnt from the Twilight series. Just to set the record straight i LOVE Twilight since the first book was published, but the whole fairy tale story thing is getting old. Alexander is back but of course there are people (or should i say vampires) out there ready to ruin Alexander and Raven's life. Vampire twins Jagger and Luna come for revenge. Wh y you may ask? well You'll just have to find out for yourself.
Whilst in America I bought the 3-in-1 book (1-3). So I thought i'd buy it for the plane home to the UK. The first book started off pretty average, it was interesting and even made me chuckle in parts. The second book was alright too, two "enemy" characters were brought it and it gave the book a faster pace. The third disappointed me, I was really looking forward to it as I had just ordered the next 2 books online so I really wanted the 3rd book to be good so that I would be excited for the arriv...more

I decided to review all eight of these books together, as I pretty much read them all back to back and I don't think I would be able to go back and review them all individually.
Firstly, this is a series that I had known about for a while, but wasn't really too sure what the books were about. Going from the titles it's obvious that they are about vampires, but apart from that I hadn't really looked into them too much. One day in December, bored I decided to give the first bo...more

I'm not entirely sure whether to take these novels seriously or just to simply enjoy them for the very little content I seem to find in them. I am a sucker (excuse the tasteless pun) for romance novels, particularly the those of the epic Pride and Prejudice variety, however I am also a lover of the supernatural so I pretty much seek something of the latter when reading. I'm actually reading this series for my school librarians, and I think at the moment they really do not compare to the high exp...more
Vampireville was quite a bit better than the previous book of this series, Coffin Club. I also need to be careful, while I’m used to reading young adult books geared towards the 16-18 range, I’m pretty sure this series is more for the 12-14 year old crowd, which has probably been my problem all along.
I felt the story line was less jagged in this book, although Raven never did learn her lesson about listening, and got herself into trouble on more than one occasion, she did seem a little bit more...more

Sixteen-year-old goth girl Raven Madison loves her boyfriend, Alexander, so much that it's okay for her if they only meet at night. She doesn't mind about the fact that he's a vampire, but is it because of the love she has for him, or is it just because of her interest in vampires?

This is where this series get better. Not only Raven pretends to be a vampire bonded to Alexander for eternity she is now acting as Nancy Drew while looking for the hidden lair of the nefarious Maxwell twins. Arch-enemy Trevor got entangled in this vampire revenge, Luna- vampire teen who got stood up by the altar was planning to take Trevor as his mate. Or is that really the plan? Once again join Raven and her cohorts in this enjoyable read.

Alexander and Raven are trying to keep Trevor safe, save the town and get the bad vampires out of town.

If you have not read the first two books, this might contain slight spoilers for them.
Trevor is in trouble and it seems the only person that can help him is Raven. Raven thought when she found out Alexander was a vampire life couldn’t get any better. But now things are being shook up in Vampireville, formally known as Dullsville and the fun and fright has just began.

Vampireville is the third installment of the Vampire Kisses series, follwing Raven and Alexander in their escapades as they battle the vengeful vampire Jagger.
I would have liked this book better if Raven wasn't constantly referring to herself as "a lonely, 16-year-old, vampire-obsessed Goth." And of course, she refers to Alexander as "her knight of the night, her gothic prince of darkness." It is obvious that Schreiber herself is nowhere near Goth.
