Awful book. While I admit it did not actively laud this cult, it gave the Scientology far too much credit as a religion. After I finished reading this, I felt a bit dubious about the content, so I did a bit of research on the author. It turns out he has made a career of trying to spread religious tolerance, Which is an excellent goal, but it can be taken too far. Scientology is a dangerous cult, and any book that tries to paint it otherwise, no matter the reason, is not telling the whole truth. ...more
