The Buckhorn Brothers: Casey

As a teen, Emma Clark was the girl with the bad reputation--and trying to get Casey Hudson into bed hadn't helped Not only was he the cutest guy in town, but he was also the only one who'd really seemed to care about her--so much so that the usually hot-blooded teen had resisted all her awkward advances. Now, eight years later, it's a different...more

This review is only for the Buckhorn Brothers story. I don't read the other series and I don't want to start with the last book in the series.

I wondered how Casey's story would go. He seemed like such a good kid in all the other books. I will admit that I didn't think much of Emma, I thought about her what the town did. It is too bad I did as after learning the facts of her life, Emma really deserved a break.

I loved that she felt that she could go to Casey and his family, that their house would...more

4 stars for Caught in the Act and 3 stars for Casey,

This book contains the following two stories.

4 stars for CAUGHT IN THE ACT.
Good, enjoyable romance story. There were a number of good things about this story. Someone took a shot at Del, and the related danger provided interesting conflict. I loved the characters. I was delighted with the heroine's actions at the end.

This is the third story in the series around Dane Carter's detective agency. The anthology Fallen Angels has the first two sto...more

I didn't read the whole thing, I only read the 1st part that was the story about Casey, so I could finish off the Buckhorn series.
UPDATE
Ok now that I read the second story in the book I can honestly say that I recommend reading the WHOLE book! I love the characters in 'Caught in the act' as well, I just wish I would have known it was part of another series as well so I could have read them in order. Oh well still loved it.

I loved Casie's story. It was a bit of a clift hanger. You knew Emma was hidding something and you knew she was abused but the details were a suprise. Emma had me crying in different areas because she wanted to be loved so much and was so confused. I havent read "Caught In The Act" yet but hope to be starting soon.

It has two stories.
The first one is the continuation of the Buckhorn Brothers, with Casey, Sawyer's son.
REALLY good! Loved "seeing" everyone.

The second is apparently part of a series, but I'm not sure which one. I'm going to have to find out, because it was really good.

A great finish to a great series.
I'm almost ashamed to say I've been in love with Casey since Sawyers story and since he was just 15 @ the time I'm a bit embarassed.
Kari
Perfect ending to the Buckhorn Brothers series. I loved Casey and Emma's story!

I also really enjoyed Mick's story. It was nice to see how he had grown from the 2 previous books.

Casey's story was cute. I liked the relationship between him and Emma but she kind of annoyed me all the same. I'm not quite sure why though.
Amanda
I only read Casey's story. I wish we didn't have to pay $9.99 for a second book that had nothing to do with the series.

Delilah stole the show! I love her character ;) Another great book, as if I would expect anything less from Lori Foster.
Jennifer
Great read. Casey's story was my fave!
Tasha
Liked both stories... they are what I would consider hopeless romantic. I'm a romantic for sure but these two were a little beyond even for me. The plot could have been more invovled. I really liked how the Buckhorn Brothers:Casey started out but it was a little of a let down from there.

As for caught in the act, I'm big on cops/pi types but there was so little of it in the story line I was a bit let down.

Romances were great, but both could have used more "something" to help carry them.
