Seriously? This book, actually this series, makes me want to either a.) vomit or b.) gouge my eyes out with a very pointy fork.

First, what the hell is the point to this book? Is it "I'm twelve years old and I run the school; if you don't listen to me, I'll ruin your life"? Or is it "I don't like her - let's destroy her life"? Seriously? I WAS a twelve year. I know no one, who acted like that. Sure, there were bitches; but seriously?

Second, the way Massie puts everyone down is really annoying. I...more

In the fourth book of this series Claire and Massie are finally becoming friends, but the better friends they are, the more the other three hate them. The girls are excited about the Valentine's dance with all the Briarwood Boys... until Alici's hott new cousin moves in and starts to steal the boys hearts, and other things.(; I think this is a nice addition to the first three books in the series, but I think these books are really easy to read. Teenagers go through the same things as the OCD gi...more

Mr. Lyons received a job offer in Chicago, but no one wants the family to move away. Mr. Block promotes Mr. Lyons giving him enough money to give the guest house an extreme makeover. Until the house is done being built, the Lyons must live in the Block’s home. Claire is allergic to Bean, messes up all the clothes Massie lends her, cries loudly at night over losing Cam, and has a hard time getting a turn in the shower. They make a deal to make peace by having Claire sleep in the bath tub. All the...more

This book is about a group of girls called the "Pretty Committee". They are the total "It Girls" of the school. The people in the Pretty Committee were Massie, Alicia, Dylan, Kristen, and the new girl Claire. They are all supposedly beautiful besides Claire. She wears ugly clothes, has greasy bangs that go straight across her forehead, and an awful since of fashion. Throughout the previous books, the Pretty Committee go on a and off with liking Claire. They are pretty much forced to be with her...more

Invasion of the Boy Snatchers is the 4th book of the Clique series by Lisi Harrison. It's about Alicia's cousin Nina, who visits from Spain. At first, she's nice, but then she starts hitting it off with the boys, including Massie and Claire's crushes. Massie is dethroned from the most popular in school. Kristen and Dylan take a liking to Nina, but Massie, Alicia and Claire catch on. They try and get their guys back for the Valentine's Day dance. Meanwhile, Claire moves in to Massie's bedroom whi...more

This book was so good. The best part was when Nina got caught. i would recommend this book to people who likes girl dram. The tone was devilish. The pacing was pretty relaxed. the genre is romantic but it feels like realistic fiction.

THE CLIQUE SERIES IS THE BEST!!!!

A fast read geared towards middle school girls. This is the fourth installment of The Clique series and I am still enjoying it. With each book we learn a little more about Massie, Claire, Dylan, Kristen and Alicia. I like how Massie's insecurities show a little more in this one, at least in the glimpses the reader gets of her. To everyone else she is still cool and collected Massie, but the reader knows the truth - she's just like every other teenage girl.

Invasion of the Boy Snatchers focuses on...more

Massie Block:
Massie is less than thrilled when Claire's forced to move into Massie's bedroom, but Claire isn't the only person edging in on Massie's teritory-Alicia's hot Spanish cousin Nina arrives from Spain and starts flirting with all the Briarwood boys, including Massie's crush! Will Nina make every boy in Westchester fall in love with her? Or will Massie toss her out faster than last season's Sevens jeans...?

Ever since I finished reading my last goodreads book I have been searching for a book that shows hilarious scenes and magnificent characterization, and finally there was a story that filled my appetite until I was completly full. I love the way that the author shows how the life of really bratty and popular girls can be, utterly stressful and very funny! Clearly the Lisi Harrison wants to show the greediness of girls and how it can lead them to steal and be incredibly rude to others. This book...more

This book begins after winter break. Alicia spent her time in Spain, Massie and Claire went to Aspen, Kristen didn't go anywhere, and Dylan went on a cruise. Alicia's cousin Nina Callas comes back to America with her. At first, Massie is sure that the girl won't pose a threat to her seventh-grade social status since she has seen pictures of the girl with braces, zits, horrible clothes and terrible hair. But boy was she wrong! However, Nina underwent a transformation and Massie begins to doubt he...more

People like Nina Callas do exist and are just as slutty and bitchy as she is. I felt sorry for Claire when her father announced that they were going to Chicago but it turns out later that William, Massie's father, gave Jay, Claire's dad, a big promotion and a raise and the wives get to renovate the house, calling it a "Winter Project." But, due to this fact, Claire has to move into Massie's room, which seems to bother her a lot (the way my big sis did when we had to share rooms!). Anyways, Massi...more

When I first started reading this book I really enjoyed it. The author started off relating situations that happened to the characters to ones teenage girls face in real life. It was very easy to find similarities between the main characters and myself which made the book more personable. I also think the author did a good job at using foreshadowing to make the reader want to read more. I like how the plot changes when a mystery is thrown into the teenage love drama, and I think that mystery is...more

Initial reaction after finishing this book:

Well. I know how these books are, so based on that, it was OK. It wasn't great, but I'm not gonna worry about it. So here's the good and the bad:

The Good:

1. The plot. The plot of these books is always good because they're all so different. Things were happening at all times, and there was never a dull moment. Also the plot mixes in some light-hearted humor which is always nice. So the premise of this book was that Alicia has a cousin who acts like a f...more

I loved this book. When I first read this one it made me want to read the others in the series. I liked this one because it was alright in the beginning. As I kept reading it going into it a bit more it kinda seemed like eh. It's an okay book but I didn't really like reading about girls who "rule the school". Other than that I liked it because of their individiual personalities, the story is okay but to me it seemed a bit rude. Long story short, Clair is supposedly moving but in the end she ends...more

Invasion of the Boy Snatchers marks the start of the nadir of The Clique, a series of popular and controversial books by Lisi Harrison revolving around the "Pretty Committee," Octavian Country Day School's most powerful and exclusive clique. Unfortunately, this nadir lasts the duration of the series. Backstabbing, scheming and the glorification of sexualizing tween girls are not helped by a flat narrative muddled by occasional copyediting errors.

Plot: Still picking up from the fallout of the la...more

i love this book, but then again, i love all clique books, but i think that after reading the summer collection of the clique, i sort of dont hate nina as much as i feel the author wants me to. everyone wants to be popular, but sometimes, if u want something really bad, you might make bad choices that leads to everyone hating you. im not saying that it isnt right to want stuff or have a goal, but actions has to be controlled. like when claire just came to westchester, massie didnt like her but...more

In the novel, Invasion of the Boy Snatchers, by Lisi Harrison, after winter break the Lyons family is forced to move in with the Block Family. Which means Claire Lyons is going to share a room with Massie Block. Massie is fine with it, but for Kristen Gregory, Dylan Marvil, and Alicia Riveria, the “clique”, it’s a problem. They feel Massie is spending too much time with Claire and is leaving them out. Massie and Claire attend a party at the Riveria’s house. It is a welcoming party for Alicia’s...more

Okay, I know this series is cheesy and I probably wouldn't let my teenage daughter -- if I had one, y'know -- read these books, but I'm still drawn to the plot of this series. I wish I knew why... it's not even that great. Especially Invasion of the Boy Snatchers; this book just felt like it dragged on and on, and most of it seemed to be filler.

The whole storyline for this book was a disappointment and kind of unnecessary. The four girls and Claire are capable of causing enough tension, backstab...more
