Can I just say how CUTE this book is? The characters, the story, everything about it is adorable. The combination of skillful writing and a romantic plot makes for the perfect beach read.

Spencer and Emily's relationship isn't your average love story. While the idea of two people who have known each other their whole lives unexpectedly falling in love may seem a little cliché, Clark throws a few twists in to add some originality. The friendship between the four friends was clean and refreshing.

And I thought Icing on the lake was the best, Picture Perfect couldn't even begin to cover it.
Emily participated in her family's schoolmates reunion practically every year, and that's where she knew Spencer, Heather and Adam. Well, you know kids, growing up together, Emily has a huge crush on Spencer, but after being rejected for the first time, she wanted to get over him. But wait, after 2 years, she's meeting him again very soon, wouldn't that be awkward? Would they finally be together?

I didn't expect to love this one as much as I did! It's a story about four families in which the dads all graduated from the same college, and despite moving all over the country, they stay in touch and go on vacation together every two years or so. Enter their kids, Emily, Heather, Spencer, and Adam, who have all been friends since pretty much birth, but only get to see each other every few years. THIS IS SUCH A GREAT FRIENDSHIP STORY. The friendships between all of them together and any combin ...more

You know how sometimes, you just need a light book to pass away the time, and to just read something that's not overly dramatic or too serious and make you feel emotionally heavy? Well, Picture Perfect was just what I needed after a long week. It was relaxing, easy to read, with the story just flowing from page to page. I found myself not thinking about any other book, clinging to the easy vibes I was getting from this.

Emily's family goes on vacation with her dad's college friends and their families every couple of years. This time, the East coast offers beaches, lighthouses, and lots of romance potential. The last time they took a trip, Emily declared her interest in Spencer and is embarrassed by his refusal, but maybe this time, things will be different.

All in all, a typical fluffy teen rom-com. Emily seemed quite boy crazy, flirting with anyone she can to get her mind of Spencer. I think my favorite part wa

This story was more for an older read as it deals with a young girl who has feelings for a boy! Every few years Emily's family goes on a road trip with her dads old friends where she plays and hangs out with a few of her friends that she has gotten to know over the past road trips. Her and her friend decided to find a summer fling before they both head off to college, and Emily already has her eye on someone after getting rejected 2 years ago from her summer fling spencer. What will happen when ...more
1.5 stars.
I think I would have appreciated this book if I had read it during a different time, because I found the main character, Emily, to be incredibly shallow and naive.
Also, the story itself was predictable and frustrating, as I had already predicted the ending but Emily was to clouded by "getting a boyfriend" she didn't realize what was happening around her.
I also didn't like the turnout of this story- (view spoiler)

I feel like this book should go into a category called Perfect Beach Reads or something catchier. Picture Perfect is one of those cute, quick reads that you don’t have to concentrate too hard to catch everything. That kind of sounds like a back-handed compliment, but that is not the way I intended it.

The story was a pretty cool idea of summer vacation with family and friends all getting together in one big house. I always thought it would be kind of cool to do that growing up. When we went on va
This is my first book i've read from this author and her style of writing was similar to Rachel Hawthorne but her older books.

Its about a family reunion of old college buddies and their kids. This will be their last summer vacation before they all head off to college, where there parents once went, Linden college. Our main character Emily has had a crush on Spencer(one of her fathers friends kids) last vacation when they were together she admit how she felt towards him and he brushed her off. F

So, J.O. Gave me a different Catherine Clark book, Maine Squeeze, which I adored! So while I was at the B&N I thought I would pick up another book by her. Finally landing on this one, I decided to give it a try! And I loved it, maybe not quite as much as Maine Squeeze but pretty dang close!

The characters of Picture Perfect were all really cool, I loved that Emily wasn't whiny or needy she just kind of went with the flow, I loved Spencer because he was really funny and him and Emily had tons
Every few years, Emily's dad drags the family along to some vacation spot where they spend a few weeks in the summer with his old college friends. All his friends have kids that are the same age, so Emily, Spencer, Adam, and Heather have known each other forever. This year, the trip will be different though. It's the summer before college, and the first time Emily will have seen Spencer in a long time. The last time she saw him, she pronounced her love for him, and he awkwardly ignored her. Her ...more

Now, this wasn't a disappointment. I actually enjoyed reading Picture Perfect unlike when I was reading So Inn Love.

So, the story revolves around Emily as she goes to a two-week summer vacation with her family. It's like a tradition. From time to time, her dad and his college friends meet up and spend the vacation together. Through the years, Emily had befriended the sons and daughters of her father's friends. Now, after two years, Emily meet up again with Heather, Spencer and Adam.

This was such a cute summer read! I loved all these characters because they were actually so much fun to follow!

Review is coming!

So this was a really cute and fast summer read. It was sort of the kind of book you use for a book hangover (when you've just read a really good book and you don't know what to do with your life...(: ).

I, personally, did not like the characters at all, but somehow I still found myself liking the story. Therefore, this book gets 3 stars (nothing special, nothing
Every after two years Emily's family goes to a reunion by his father's college friends. But she is particularly anxious with this year's reunion because this will be the first time that she will see Spencer after she had confess her feeling for him two years ago and he walked away. Now she has to pretend that nothing happened and enjoy the summer.

This is a really fun and young book. If you've read my chicklit reviews then you must know that most if not all of them are fun. At first I was like g
This was a really good book. If you are into romance, then this is the perfect book for you! This wasn't my favorite book my this author (my favorite is So Inn Love), but it was still pretty good. It sets around a girl named Emily who meets up with her friends over the summer who she rarely sees. The last time she saw one of her friends- Spencer- she had confessed her feelings for him. Now, she wonders if she still likes him, and slowly does all over again. Will he feel the same for her? Who wil ...more

It was a good book. It made you miss your 18s and be envious of the beach time they had. There was nothing for me that stood out like, to make me think, wow, thats awesome! That makes me love the book. I've given a 4 star rating cause even though it was nothing awesome, it was a decent read and did not spoil m mood or make me grumpy with a bad ending. I liked the leads, the side characters, yes they were a lil stupid, but who is? That's why they're on a story and a normal boring life isn't, caus ...more

What I liked about this book was I didn't have the idea who's gonna end up with Emily. I was battling among Adam, Blake and Spencer. In some books, you know instantly who's gonna end up with whom. But in this one, I didn't know it at the first few pages, and I like it. I like to keep guessing.

I didn't know what's really going on with Blake, with kissing Em and being with the other girl. I would have loved it if the author kind of explain that. LOL. I think Adam is weird, but hot
Give me more Catherine Clark books to read! Loved this story, so funny, charming and entertaining. The only thing I had a problem with was the ending and how certain characters reacted. Come on, kids! Are you together or not? Overall I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read another one by this author!
not so perfect. And when was this written that they are rarely on their phones? The characters are just not fully drawn. But how cute/embarrassing was the note? Book was ok, but not great.
It was like West Side Story. I've already read to much of those and this book is like the others. It's not like West Side Story with a hint of originality,
no... just dont even.

Extremely fluffy, plot twists that made me shake my head, some grammar errors.

Good book to read on the beach!
Omygod, this is the best book ever. I never thought that Emily and Spencer would be together this is the cutest couple yet! I thought Adam is hot, but then he's kind of her best friend, that was so not going to happen. Blake was a playboy, he even have the nerves to come up and talk to her lawls. Spencer did him good. I like how they describe the intimacy between Spencer and Emily because it's totally worth it. They're so cute. Heather and Dean totally clicked but i hope for more details. This b ...more

Emily Matthias is a girl who is looking to have the picture perfect summer, focused around her photography Emily starts to realize that the landscape isn't the only beautiful thing around her. Caught between having to choose between two guys Emily's summer quickly turns from good to picture perfect. In Emily's mind this summer is better then any movie could be.
This book is literally a roller coaster of emotions. A love story for the ages. I only wish my middle/high school was as easy as Emily i

I love writing for pretty much the same audiences.
