Julie Miller's precinct series

I first read these 4 books in paperback format. Then I acquired them in ebook. Either way, Julie Miller always delivers a wonderful story; a great mystery that keeps you guessing and a good romantic story, too. I have read all but about 2 of her books. They never fail to keep you entertained and up reading way late.
I loved this book. Loved it. It's an excellent example of what a Harlequin Intrigue novel should be: intense, emotional, romantic, and filled with tension from the first page to the last. I instantly fell for Edward. He pulls off the wounded hero thing so well that I couldn't wait to see how he came around to Holly and accepted her as well as her love. Although I was a little disappointed with the stalker storyline (it seemed tacked on and wasn't really explained), that was a minor glitch in an ...more
The last and best book of a 4 book sub-series in the larger Precinct series. Lots of suspense, tears, and plot twists.
This was a nice way to pass the time but for a climax to a series, I thought it fell a little short. I had a hard time warming to Edward, even though his tragedy made him a very sympathetic character and his rather strange decisions understandable. The way the plot and the surprises unfolded was a little confusing to me. Holly was a nice heroine - more forbearing than I probably would have been.
Edward's story broke my heart and his journey was uplifting. Amazing what the help of a good woman can do. And while I wouldn't say the conclusion of John's case was surprising in any way, I did find it satisfying.
This book is fourth in a series, but since I hadn't read the previous books, I was a little lost at times.
