Thor, with Angels portrays a man’s conversion from the Norse religion to Christianity. I find it interesting that he depicts the conversion from a religion long dead and now considered a mythology. To present the conversion from an active religion such as Islam or Hinduism would have been more fraught with problems, stepping on many more toes. But he chose a dead religion, and in doing so he was safe in lightly satirizing the peculiar aspects of the Norse religion and its negative, fearful view ...more
This was interesting, but ultimately about Christianity being good for everyone, in this case vikings. Merlin makes a super weird appearance.
