Whew!! Another great one by Miller. Rodeo's bad Boy Dylan Creed gets the shock of his life when he leaves a Vegas gambling establishment. His daughter Bonnie, has been left in his truck by her mother. Okay Dylan needs to fess up and become a father so he heads home to Montana to the Creed ranch.
Left behind was Kristy Madison, who Dylan left in Stilwater Springs. She has continued to love Dylan no matter how many years have passed.

Dylan is still on the rodeo circuit and also working as a stunt man when he receives calls from his older brother Logan talking nonsense about rebuilding on the old homestead and putting up fences on his property. But it’s when a one-night stand can’t take being a mother any longer and leaves his two-year-old daughter Bonnie in his truck one night that he even seriously thinks about going home. Once he gets there and sees what Logan has in mind and finds out that his lost love is still unmarried...more
Abandoned by the brothers, the Creed ranch had been unkempt for years. Logan, Dylan and Tyler had found success in others areas. Their father’s death, funeral, and the ensuing fight were memories no one wanted to revisit.
Life events have a way of changing your perspective. Dylan, a rodeo circuit champion, now turned gambler was prepared, or so he thought. Leaving the poker game with large winnings was dangerous, especially at late hours. Exiting the back door, he knew something was about to happ...more

Again, I'm not CRAZY about how long L.L.M.'s books are! I can get through a L.I. or a Kristan Higgins in 2-3 days, where it takes about a week? for an L.L.M book!!!
I absolutely LOVED Dylan and Kristy though!!! Kristy was relatable. And I felt their chemistry....Dylan's little 2yr old Bonnie was a DOLL!!! I can see her with her dark blonde curls, just like her Daddy, Dylan! She cracked me up with her constant yelling of her only 2 words...POOP! And Daddy!!! LOL!!! Loved ALL the animals!!! Montana Creeds: Dylan by Linda Lael Miller is the second book in her Montana Creeds contemporary western romance series.
After his daughter Bonnie's mother abandons her in his truck, Dylan Creed heads home to the family ranch in Montana. Dylan is determined to keep custody of Bonnie and to do that he needs his older brother (and lawyer) Logan's help, although he and Logan aren't on the best of terms right now. his is the second book in the series. I really have fell in love with these brothers and cant wait to read the 3rd and last book in the series. Although I have to admit I liked / connected with the 1st books characters alot more. Just felt like in this book was all about having kids, and those who don't want kids are considered bad, stuck up, self centered people. That Kinda rubbed me the wrong way. But I know people have their opinions on the subject, just don't feel like that should be one of...more

I really enjoyed this second tale of the Creed family in rural Montana. There is just something I really like about Montana cowboys. Must be the proximity to mountains.
This one had it all. Illegitimate children, break-ins, blackmail, unexplained deaths, missing persons, long past crimes, old flames, reluctant hearts. You name it, Linda Lael Miller managed to work it into this story line. Yet at the same time it didn't feel overworked or too contrived. Just contrived enough to be somewhat believa...more

This is the second in the creed men trilogy, and I truly loved Dylan about as much as I loved Logan. It start out in Las Vegas, Nevada. Where Dylan comes out to his truck, and finds his two year old daughter "Bonnie", furious that she was left alone; he then finds a note from Sharlene saying that she can't keep Bonnie anymore and that she is heading out with her current boyfriend. He decides that he is going to learn to take good care of his daughter (since Sharlene hardly let him see "Bonnie" s...more

I liked this a lot, even better than Logan's story, but I feel like LLM almost tried to cram too much stuff into one book. For me, Dylan and Kristy already had a lot to deal with - having been together as teenagers, then apart, then Dylan coming back, plus Dylan dealing with the custody issues over his little girl. Not to mention reconciling with his brother & getting on board with Logan's ranching project. Then the whole mystery thing thrown in with Kristy - it was almost over the top and t...more
New Reading Plan: read all Romances with Librarians as the love interest. If you know of any, send the recommendations my way (no, they don't have to actually be GOOD).
Review: Things I really liked about this Romance: minimal stupid, cutesy banter and minimal tension/misunderstandings keeping the two apart, also minimal digression into side characters lives or random plot twists (though there certainly was some of that).

The first book in the series, Logan is better. That's not to say this wasn't a good book, but it was creepier. In this one, (view spoiler). I'll continue to the last of the trilogy, Tyler just so I can see what everyone is up to, although it's already painfully obvious before I even start the book who he's going to fall for, and I havn't even started it yet. I jumped right into this book after finishing the first book in the series. And then I spent most of my free time yesterday reading because this book was just as good - maybe even a little better - than the first book.

Another great read from LLM. When Dylan Creed finds his 2 y/o daughter, Bonnie, abandon in his truck one night, he knows it's time to take action. He has to gain custody before her crazy mother puts her in harms way again. The only way to do that is to take her to the place he's spent most of his adult life trying to forget. With his truck loaded down with newly purchased baby stuff he heads home to Stillwater Springs where he goes in search of old flame Kristy Madison. It doesn't take long for...more
Although I still love the Montana setting, the pace of this one is a bit off. Too much happens too fast. There is no building up to things, so the reader can be fully involved by the resolution. On the other hand, Bonnie is a typical two-year-old, tantrums, frenetic activity, and all, so kudos to Ms. Miller there. I do like that the two Creeds so far have been filthy rich. In this day and age, I am tired of worrying about money so it's nice to read about people with no worries -- or soon-to-be n...more
I'm sure this was a fine book. I skimmed it because I just don't like books where the hero and heroine are old lovers who broke up and then meet again years later. Sometimes I can read them if I'm in the right mood or if they are just phenomenal. This one he didn't really seem to love her so I just couldn't get into it. It also bothered me that she didn't have kids but wanted them and he had one with a floozie. I guess I felt too sorry for her.
The narration was okay even though you couldn't tell the men from the women at times. The story had a few holes big enough to run cattle through. The heroine wasn't a complete doormat and the hero wasn't a complete jerk. It was okay. Know what a mean? I wasn't blown away and probably won't read it again or any of the rest of the series, but it was a free read from my local public library; so, it is all...okay.

Dylan is finding fatherhood to be to his liking, when the mother of 2 year old Bonnie drops her off with her daddy. Dylan is so excited to see her there that he hugs her to him. But the bad times are hitting home, his father is running things into the ground and he has to go home. When Dylan is with his daughter nothing matters, but when he goes to the library with her he meets Kristy Madison. The town librarian is having the time of her life reading to small children. When in comes tall, dark,...more
good read--LLM has a way with stories about brothers and families. Dylan has a two year old daughter, Bonnie, that his exwife abandoned and is on his way back to his home town to reconnect with Kristy, the girl he left behind to go rodeoing. He is done with his rodeo traveling ways and ready to settle down and raise his daughter. Great story with a lot of depth--enjoyed it.
Dylan the shorter thinner cowboy. He is the gambler but seems to come back to the ranch when Logan teases him into it. He mets up with an old sweetheart that tries to sell his land and I enjoy how honest she is with him about ir or maybe he just catches on, eitherway the connection between them worked. The gambling was played up just a little much for me.
This is totally on my top 5 favorite books of all time. It had everything Logan's book had and than some. Read Logan's book first since it comes first and you will be foaming at the mouth to get your hands on Dylan's book. Linda Lael Miller brings it all in this book. Mystery, Romance, Passion, and more of the CREED BROTHERS!!
What more could a girl ask for??!!

This is the second "Creed Brothers" book I have read (and for some reason I'm accidentally reading them in reverse order, but it really doesn't matter). I like this one a lot better than "Tyler" as Dylan and Kristy are better, more fully fleshed-out characters than Tyler and Lily. This book also had a decent plot, which was in its favor.

It's a rainy day, not to serious, read. The suspense part never even made me curious. The romance was fluffy and moved along. The "I don't know if I love you" was just stupid IMO for the nature of the story-line and how it flowed. Would have scored more points if they just admitted it from the beginning.
It was cute and fluffy.

This is a 300+ pages filled with awesome one~liners "It was Law & Order gone country." and scenes that make you tear up and feel like the main cowboy has his boots up on your coffee table, whispering in your ear about his life and dreams. I love cowboy romance novels but this is THE best so far. I wholeheartedly recommend this book.
I was expected a good story and if you extract the way it was written the bare bones of a story is there. I found some of the events did not gel. The story was not jerky, it was too well edited but there were points where the author simply tells you this happened then that without a sequence of events. At least that was my opinion.
Well, this book wasn't nearly as good as the first book in the series, but it was still pretty good. There seemed to be a lot more risque parts that I kinda skipped over, than the first book had, and the plot seemed less developed. However, all the loose ends got tied up at the end, and it was a happy ending. Not bad for a quick "fluff read."
I enjoyed Kristy a lot more than I did Briana in the previous book, but sadly, I think that Dylan wasn't as interesting as Logan. Dylan and Kristy, as a couple, worked better for me, probably because of their past and the connection that was already established.
I might have contemplated 4 stars had the subplots been better fleshed out. Or at least as solid as the relationship. As it is, 3 stars.

Another enjoyable book by Miller. Who doesn't love a rodeo bad boy and Dylan fits the bill. Him being a devoted father makes hi even better. Kristy, home town librian who has been in love with Dylan forever makes for the perfect happily ever after. Makes you feel happy reading it. Looking forward to Tyler.
