I'm French, which meant that every time I went to the US, I was called 'European', which invariable earned the speaker a dubious stare from me. Understand me, I am very happy that we're now a union, not a rabble of countries intent on destroying one another, and I relish the phenomenal cultural richness of our continent... It's just that I know next to nothing about, say, Greece. Or Norway. Or the new guys, Hungary, Romania... etc. And I must admit, even though I've been to England, Italy, Spain...more
