I'm no stranger to the Star Wars extended universe. In middle school and high school, these were the only books I read with any type of eagerness or regularity. Having read a lot of it, I have come to terms with the idea that most licensed star wars novels are little more than decent to good fan-fiction. You can usually assume there will be a jedi who makes only lightside decisions and usually one who will do the opposite (always two, there are). However, this simple little novella broke out of...more

Dull and annoyingly-written story with a (in my opinion) horrible 'Mandalorians-do-this, Mandalorians-do-that' scheme explaining anything from a way of killing an opponent to a metod of ordering an ale in a cantina through a Mandalorian way of life. Everything has to be 'mandalorianised' in Travis' part of the Star Wars EU and I liked it for a short time, now it really makes me sick of her works; she tried to create a culture and did a good job in the whole culture creating process, yet it wasn'...more

This one.... well, what can I say about this one?
It was alright, there are times when the book felt interesting and intriguing. But there were more times when the narrative was confusing and gave information not vital to the story, or back story. It follows the thoughts of two characters during the same instances, instead of only one, which gives an odd sense of dual personalities, seeing as you read a thought and think it is one character, only to find that it's the other that is suddenly the s...more

This was a decent short story. It wasn't anything that blew me away but was entertaining none the less. What it did do is make me want to check out some of the authors other SW work, especially the Commando series.

A great intro to the NJO series that allows us to see that the great bounty hunter, Boba Fett is still alive and kicking. This is more of a novella than a true novel.

Good quick e-book. Have read other Karen Traviss Star Wars novels & would recommend.

Okay. Gotta love Fett. Story was a tad boring and didn't really add much to the NJO or the Fett/Mandalorian mythos.

I really could not get into this. Ever since The Vong, or whatever they were called, showed up, the whole Star Wars universe became very depressing and very boring. Even Bobba Fett didn't make this very interesting. Much of his backstory was created in the prequels.

Boba Fett is clearly a bad ass, and years of being the best has put him in charge of the Mandalorian mercenaries, and with the Vong invasion beginning he has to do something he hasn't had to do before: think about what is best for other people. Great chance to get inside his head and understand what makes the best bounty hunter the best.

This was okay. It was interesting seeing what Fett was up to during the Vong NJO era. I kinda like Fett and his code of honor. He's admirable in his own way.

In my book Karen Traviss writes the best Boba Fett.
