I love a good vampire story!!! The book is suspenseful. It is filled with action and keeps you guessing until the last page.

A born vampire is not turned by another vamp, he is born with the vampire virus and when he becomes a blood thirsty vampire when he dies. They are very powerful, hard to kill, and control all the vampires they turn plus any vampires their "children" turn. A born Vampire comes to Baton Rouge and Night Watch is charged with finding him before the stree More...

The Night Watch books are good for an engaging read with adventure and spicy romance and for the most part I'll Be Slaying You was no exception. Dee was a memorable character in the first book in this series and I was excited to hear that this book was going to be all about her and her sashay towards happily ever after. While her ride wasn't as smooth as the one the happy couple had in Eternal Hunter, I can recommend this book to fans of the first book in the series or to fans of the genre in More...

Sandra "Dee" Daniels lost her entire family to vampires when she was just a kid. It was a brutal awakening to the world of Others that still rips her out of sleep with a scream on her lips. Since that bloody night, she's made it her goal to track and kill the vampires responsible - and until then, take down as many other fanged fiends as she can. Her job as a bounty hunter for Night Watch, a...specialty organization to say the least, keeps her connected to the baddies in Baton Rogue, a More...

Another great book by Cynthia Eden and the second in the Night Watch series.

This book features Dee (Sandra "Dee") the human on the Night Watch team who is a kick ass kind of gal that does not take any crap from anyone. She hunts vampires each night and has created quite a reputation as a hunter. She has hunted vampires ever since her family was murdered by them and she has been on her own until the head of the Night Watch team (Pak) finds her and trains her to be the p More...

Vampire hunter Dee finds herself fighting a so called "born" vampire, a vampire that was always a vampire rather than being bitten. Less than ten pages in she's saved from a shot by Mr. Tall Mysterious and Hansom, Simon Chase. They fall in lust. The books fall into several rounds of the two of them running from/fighting the bad guys and having stubborn sexual tension/sex. There were a few painfully obvious plot twists that pushed the story along, the characters out side of Dee and More...

I'll be Slaying You by Cynthia Eden
Paranormal Romance – June 29th, 2010
4 ½ stars

Cynthia Eden has written another fun and sexy paranormal romance. However, I found the overall tone of this book a little darker and edgier than the author’s previous books. In this story a female bounty hunter learns some shocking truths and the hunter becomes the prey in a game of life and death!

In this second book in the bounty hunter series we are treated to the human, Sand More...

Dee is a hunter for Night Watch, one of the few humans, that track lethal human criminals and Other’s that step over the line. She specializes in hunting vampires and is always on the look out for the bloodsucker that slaughtered her family. Dee is currently on the hunt for a Born Vampire that has entered her city when dark & sexy Simon shows up in an alley to ‘save’ Dee from a gunshot. Another fast paced, action filled, steamy romance from Eden in this second of the Night Watch series. We have another strong and tough female lead who is full of emotional scars but who doesn't let that get in the way of the chemistry between her and the male lead or of her job as a bounty hunter in the supernatural world. Eden has a knack of writing emotional scarred characters without all the irritating and frustrating angst other writers seem to heap on their characters. Sandra "Dee" More...

lol

I was very pleasantly surprised by this book. Now, don't get me wrong, I pretty much knew I'd love it; after all, it is a Cynthia Eden novel! The surprise, rather, came in the form of the novel's twists. CE strung me along, giving me little clues here, little hints there, which made me think I had the plot all figured out. And then BAM! She smacks me upside the head with the Big Reveal that was not at all what More...

I don’t know that I would have continued the series if Dee hadn’t been the lead in this one. I REALLY like Cynthia Eden's Night Watch series. This is book two in the series and it tells the story of Sandra "Dee" Daniels.

Dee absolutely hates Vampires. She dedicates her life to Night Watch and destroying every Vampire she can.

One night out she comes face to face with a Vampire and goes for the kill, but things go wrong and that is when she meets Simon. Simon helps Dee get out of the situation safely. She thanks him and just tries to brush Simon off.

This is book 2 in the short series of the Others. You met Dee in Eternal Hunter. Dee works for Night Watch a supernatural bounty hunters service. Dee HATES vampires. They have ruined her life and she wants them all to pay for it. Simon walks into her life when she least expected him to. She's not really into relationship but decide to give Simon a chance. It's hard not to when the man always has her back. But Simon has secrets. You're going to love this book if you like a good quick read. Eden h More...

The Night Watch books picked me. I didn’t pick them. I won this book in a raffle and got the first book because I can’t read books out of order. I’m very glad I won this book.

The Setting — is a world in which things exist just below the surface. Normal humans don’t realize that surrounding them are Others, people who aren’t really people. They’re demons, charmers, shifters, vampires – and the list goes on. At times people don’t realize what’s right in front of them and others the More...

This is the fifth book I’ve read by the author and by far the worst. I found myself getting annoyed with the author’s writing style. I read her Midnight trilogy back to back and never had a problem so I don’t know what happened with this trilogy. She uses a lot of one sentence paragraphs but in this book it seemed like there were tons of one word sentences as well. The book just didn’t flow. It was choppy. Stilted. Redundant.

There was a lot of action as per u More...

This is the second book in the Night Watch series, and I actually put it off for a while because the heroine, Dee, irritated me in the first book so I had no desire to read about her.

I'm an idiot.

No really.

This book was great. Up til 1am reading it great. And Dee's personality made sense to me now...and I was able to like her!

I gave this one 4.5 stars, and the only reason I didn't give it the full 5 was that I was getting a little sick of the constant situations where Dee and Simon were on the brink of death. It became redundant by the end.

Other than that minor complaint, this was a great follow up book to the first (Eternal Hunter) and it also gave the reader another look at the main female and male lead from that book. I like when series books give us glimpses of past characters so that I can get a feel More...

I’ll Be Slaying You is the second book in the Night Watch series by Cynthia Eden. I’ll Be Slaying You is an entertainingly gritty, edgy story filled with lots of action, humor and smoking hot characters.

Sandra “Dee” Daniels is a petite powerhouse. She’s out to eliminate any vampire on set. A member of the Night Watch, she’s seen her share of the darkness, but it’s not the darkness that’s scaring her. It’s the powerful and sexy man who seems to be lurking around wherever she’s at.

I liked this book. It was well written, entertaining, and a perfect read for a holiday week.

Sandra "Dee" Daniels is one of the toughest hunters working for Night Watch and that, my friends, is saying something. As far as most people know, Night Watch is a multi-state bounty hunting agency with a main office in Dee's home city of Baton Rouge. The rumor is, Night Watch agents always catch their prey. That rumor is true. But there is more to Night Watch than meets the eye. Most of the criminals they hunt are Other. Vampires, shifters, warlocks, demons - when Other commit crimes More...

There are vampires, demons, and shifters among us and the bounty hunters at Night Watch try their best to keep them in line. Sandra "Dee" Daniels is one of the best that work for the agency. She also happens to be a human with a violent bloody past that she can thank vampires for. She is exceptionally good at taking down the creatures of the night and when there is word that a Born vampire, the most powerful of its kind, is in town, Dee doesn't hesitate to take the case.

I must first start by saying that I am a huge Cynthia Eden fan, and I don't think she gets the recognition she deserves. Her writing is smart, sexy, and well thought out. There is always a bit of mystery, a twist or turn I didn't see coming, and I love her characters. The men are Alpha without being obnoxious about it, and the women are all strong in their own right. I'll Be Slaying You is no exception to this.

A while back, in the first book of the Night Watch series, we met Dee. More...

Oh gosh! This one was a little more intense than the first one for me! The suspense was killing me - I couldn't put it down! And seriously, how many times can Dee escape death? She's like a cat!!

And how can you not love a kick ass heroine when she says things like:
Hate twisted Grim's face. "You should have run while you had the chance."
A ripple of her shoulders. "Not really the running type. More the kick-you-ass-type."

And Simon.....love him!

This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that has read Cynthia’s work in the past. Dee and Simon’s chemistry literally jumps off the page at you. The sex is delicious and leaves you wanting more. This one had me a little apprehensive for a minute as I knew it would be cliched, and Ireally hate books where trust is an issue at the beginning. But I really liked Dee and wanted to read her story. I was not disappointed. It had all of the great kick butt moments and really hot moments. There was constant action and a great hero. Plus an awesome story. This book was more interesting than her first book in the series but again, I wasn't absorbed into the story. There were some twists and turns but none that weren't really unexpected. I had my guesses throughout the book. I did enjoy some of the scenes between the hero and heroine. I loved the relationship between the heroine and her fellow demon buddy.

I've read other books in the series and Dee always came across as abrasive and not my favorite. But I started liking her more in this book. She's "saved" by Simon and then finds out she's more than she thought. There's this showdown that seems to be taken right out of another book I've read, I kept thinking I had read this before but no. I guess there aren't enough story lines out there and repetitions happen.
