Starting to get use to Allison Brennan's writing style. This was a decent read, and right up "kjen's" alley :)

Definitely a romantic suspense - the main character is so driven in finding out who the killer is, she falls under the subject "Obsessive". She is a very likable character with such a horrible experience in her past, has the strength of a couple of strong men - both vying for her, but it is plain which one her heart really belongs to.

A serial killer with a game plan has been running loos

THE HUNT...9 GIRLS MISSING AND 7 FOUND. A SERIAL KILLER KNOWN AS THE BOZEMAN BUTCHER.
12 years ago Miranda Moore was a victim and managed to escape and lost her friend to the serial killer. since then Miranda had hopes to become an FBI agent, but is it for the right reason. FBI agent Quincy Peterson is called in for re-inforcements to help the small town police force, who 12 years ag

This is a pretty good romantic suspense novel. I might have liked it more but it was a lot like another Allison Brennan novel and I liked the characters better in that one. That coupled with having to read it to get it back to the library when my Genre machine told me to put it off didn't help either. With all that said the writing was good and it kept me engaged.

Miranda is the only survivor of a serial killer and the pursuit of the killer takes over her life. Quinn a FBI agent who was there for

When I picked up this book I wasn't sure what to expect. How could it be as good as The Prey, Ms Brennan's debut book? Nothing could beat that, or so I thought. As you can tell, I was not disappointed. The Hunt, the second book in this trilogy is just as good. In fact, in some ways The Hunt is even better. Allison Brennan has yet again pulled out all the stops to create another gripping masterpiece. As an entertainer she knows how to pack a punch!

From the meaty dialogue to the thrilling, nail-bi

I read this book a long time ago, and now I'm reading it again. I don't remember much, but I remember how much I loved it, and now, rereading it, I realize why.

I more than liked this but less than really liked it, I would have given it 3.5 stars if I could have.

This was a well done who done it with a bit of psychological fallout from child abuse at the core of the crime. What we do to our children does a lot to form who they become and when the children are so badly damaged the fallout can be deadly. That is what happened in The Hunt. The result is the chase to stop a brutal kidnapper who rapes, tortures and then hunts to kill his victims.

This is the second in the series of the Predator Trilogy. I liked the book alot though I would have enjoyed it more if there was more romance. But I'm a romance junkie. The story and suspense were top notch (I don't know how she would write in such detail without being first hand).

Miranda is a woman that years ago was kidnapped, torchered and raped. But when she and the other girl that was kidnapped with her were let loose to be hunted by their captor, she alone survived. Now years later the sa

The Hunt – Allison Brennan Review:

Intro:
Miranda Moore is a distant character you would have touched base with in The Prey. She is used as the leading character in this the second novel of the predator trilogy from Allison Brennan. Miranda Moore miraculously survived the onslaught of a serial killer twelve years prior, a killer they are all yet to face. The Butcher continued to kill Miranda continued to battle her own demons, her fears as she partakes in all the search and rescue efforts for al

This is the 2nd in AB's Predator series and I did like it better then the first one. When I say that, I mean writing style and editing. The content is disturbing and violent. The romance of Quinn and Miranda is faint at first. They have been separated by 10 years. Twelve years ago Miranda was a victim of a serial killer, whom she managed to escape from.

She set her sights on being apart of the FBI, but due to Quinn's efforts she was kicked out before graduation. Miranda refused to listen to Quin

Recommends it for: I guess North American crime fans, Cody McFadyen fans?
Recommended to laura by: someone who thought Brennan was similar to Reichs? ummm, yeah.
I am rating this book with 3 stars but with a caveat - 3 stars in the North American category, which would be 2 stars in the worldwide context.
It could almost have made to 4 in the first mentioned category if not for (and I don't care if I spoil this for someone because this is really really disgusting) the idiotic incest idea which was so totally unnecessary and uncalled for, the author I guess again thought quantity is more important than quality, if I shock the readers I don't need to add mor

This was much better than The Prey. The only reason I read it was because I had heard that this one was such an improvement over the previous book in the trilogy. I really enjoyed Quinn and Miranda as characters, even their flaws. couldn't embrace the characters' flaws in the Prey the way I could in The Hunt. Definitely a marked improvement.

Oh man i fall more and more in love with this author. I love her stories and this one was amazing. I loved seeing how miranda gets through everything she went through and still loves someone else. I loved seeing nick again but feel so bad for him. i have realized that I wish I had read these before the evil trilogy though. But, no biggies. amazing series

This book, for some reason, really got to me. I think it is because I so sorry for Miranda. I mean, how many people can survive being held by a serial killer, manage come out still sane, and then become one of the people hunt him down. Just the thought of it blows my mind.

It is for those reasons alone that I really admired Miranda even though she sometimes couldn't see the trees in the forest. Quinn, was another matter. He was so blah for me. It seemed like he was so typical of the kind of guys

I've read a few other books by Brennan and enjoyed them. I really tried to read this, but after 164 pages I've had enough of the guilt trips. I was too the point I dreaded picking it up.

I understand the main character, Miranda, went through a horrifying ordeal and had survivor's remorse, but do we have to keep rehashing it in every single chapter. Then on top of that dealing with the guilt and remorse of her past actions in how she's handled her two relationships, plus those of the two men she w

The book was good but the outcome and situation was the same. Killers were different but the story line was pretty much the same. I like her writing but I guess reading one right after the other made it kind of predictable.

Miranda lived through a horrible experience and watched her best friend die. Now, ten years later, she's trying to catch the man who brutalized her and killed her friend, plus an unknown number of women throughout their region. She's grown stronger and the scars have healed, but she'll never be the same. She can't stop the search for the killer, nor can she forget how the man she once loved betrayed her the day before she was to graduate as an FBI agent. She left the agency and never came back t ...more

Wow again, the first was good this one is even better. Allison featuring characters from the first book The Prey, I just love that when characters from other books feature in a book of their own. It's rather like a growing family you come to care for them in some way. Allison is turning out to be very gifted author of something rather scary, and down right yucky in places of romance. And something I forgot to mention in my previous review for The Prey is that the romance between the characters i ...more

This Predator series is really amazing. The first book was awesome and this one was just as good, if not better. Brennan writes her characters in such a way that it really brings them to life. I love how the characters are flawed and not perfect and the final scenes were absolutely gripping! I can't wait to start on the next one and see how it stands up.

If you've never read Allison Brennan before, you're really missing out and you should get started as soon as possible!!
