This review is a little more involved for me, than most. I am a long time fan of the Dark-Hunter and Dream-Hunter series, by Sherrilyn Kenyon. Some might think this would dispose me to be lenient in my evaluation, fawning with my opinions. However, the opposite would prove to be true; I find that I have such high expectations for Ms. Kenyon’s books, at this point, that there was a better certainty that I would be disappointed. I am a long time fan of the Dark-Hunter and Dream-Hunter series, by Sherrilyn Kenyon. Some might think this would dispose me to be lenient in my evaluation, fawning with my opinions. However, the opposite would prove to be true; I find that I have such high expectations for Ms. Kenyon’s books, at this point, that there was a better certainty that I would be disappointed. Truly, how could an author possibly deliver on all the anticipation that she has been building for readers such as me, since the introduction of this saga back in 2002, with Fantasy Lover? Serendipity strikes, though, and Ms. Kenyon not only delivers, she surpasses expectations, leaving them in the dust.
Devotees of this series know that Ms. Kenyon can create heroes, villains and anti-heroes that readers cannot help but fall for, cheer for, even when the man of the hour may be the villain of the piece. She is also skilled at taking characters, such as Nick Gautier, and carving out places in our hearts for him, then turning him, so we are not sure if we should cheer him on, or wish him ill, but we just can’t; he is too deeply entrenched in our hearts at this point. Her characters have heart; they have souls; they have dark, cutting edge humor that carries them through some of the darkest places a soul would ever have to travel. The roll call of characters is impressive at this point; the readers of Acheron need to know their Dark-Hunter history, and reviewing a play list before picking up the book might not be a bad idea (unless, of course, you’re a geek gyrl like me, in which case these people are like fictional family members, already.)
Acheron, son of Atlantean gods, born into a human body and cursed by the Fates, attracts readers like no other member of Ms. Kenyon’s cast of players. He struts upon her stage with a feral grace; he is Gothic, grim, and forbidding. Hades, he is downright scary; scarier than most of the villains by a margin so great a new form of measurement might need to be invented. But Ash is also the most heart wrenchingly vulnerable person in this world of damaged souls. This is hinted at in prior books in the series; his loneliness while surrounded by other cursed hunters is legendary. The secrets surrounding Ash are more tightly held than the whereabouts of Jimmy Hoffa’s final resting place or the real special blend of eleven secret herbs and spices. Until now. In this book that bears his name and his emblem, we learn so much about his history, and what forged the God we know in the current timeline of the series.
Ms Kenyon addresses the pressing questions surrounding the relationship between Ash and Artemis, or as Simi calls her, the Heifer Goddess. We learn how and why Ash is such an irresistible, sexy beast. And the learning is not easy; it is a dark, twisted tale of abuse, degradation and despair. The first half of this book is darker than any previous Dark-Hunter or Dream-Hunter novel. The series is known for its blending of tension, sensuality, sharp dialog and humor. This is not absent from Acheron; but the first portion of this story is harsh, so readers must be prepared. Ms. Kenyon deals with issues of mental, emotional, verbal and physical abuse skillfully, but openly and honestly. This honest, but respectful handling of such a terrible subject helps raise this story from the realm of everyday fantasy to literature. Brain candy books are enjoyable, and can certainly get high marks, and are necessary parts of the fictional world. But “literature” asks difficult questions; does not flinch from ugly truths, and reflects our own truths back to us. Ms. Kenyon has achieved literary standing with Acheron. She offers a light and a lesson to those who have suffered from abuses of their own, in their real lives. You can endure; you can triumph; you are worthy of love, no matter what someone else has forced upon you in your past. In the words of Acheron, she also brings home a crucial lesson about power, manipulation and relationships: “just because you can doesn’t mean you should, and sometimes some things have to go wrong in order to go right.” A powerful lesson brought to you by a paranormal fantasy romance.
The second half of this novel brings the reader to present day, in the every day, human world. For a time, anyway. Do not fear; we visit Kalosis, Katoteros, and Olympus before this world tour of torture and redemption is done.
Humor returns in the form of Xiamara, or as most know her, Ash’s demon daughter, Simi. She still craves QVC shopping; ice cream with hot sauce; takes orders from Ash a little too literally; color codes her horns to her clothes; and protects her akri, as she calls Ash, with a devotion that is endearing and a little terrifying. Also, the ex-hunters who make appearances in this book enter into the same quick witted banter with Ash that all of the prior books are renowned for including. Especially rewarding for long time fans are encounters with Julian and Talon. The heroine, Tory, is a delight to get to know through, as well. She is spunky, stands 6’1’’, has a keen appreciation for all things Greek (the older the better); she stands up to Ash, his moods, and she swings a mean hammer. Saying anything else would be telling….
This book really is a powerhouse of a read. The only cautionary comment would have to be that if you have not read the prior books, this may not be the best place to begin. The relationships and histories between the characters are critical to a full understanding, and a finer flavoring of this story. With Acheron, Ms. Kenyon proves once again that she truly is the Author Goddess, spinning tales that sweep you up into a world of dark desires, darker passions, and the enduring strength of the heart and the soul. Truly, this book is the total package; it even tells you how everything ends.
I can’t wait to see where Ms. Kenyon takes us when we read Stryker and Jaden’s stories, the next two installments. One Silent Night is currently scheduled for a November 4, 2008 release. For myself, based on my experience with Acheron, when it comes out, November 4th will be a silent, but satisfying night for this Kenyon Minion.

Loved it. Best in the series, hands down. It is an emotional read, but I think some of the reviews (on here and on other boards) are over doing it a bit when reviewing the first part. Caution - this book is not for the faint of heart!

I'm going to keep this short because there are no words to adequately describe this book. It's one of the most emotional, gut wrenching, heartbreaking books I've ever read, but at the same time it was inspiring, uplifting and completely amazing. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! After 14 books of the Dark Hunter series, I don’t think I had ever anticipated a book more than this one. And it was everything I wanted, and more.

Oh Acheron. I loved him the first time I met him! Over the course of the series I have picked up little hints and clues about him and his background. I knew it was going to be bad, but nothing could have prepared me for the absolute horror that formed Part 1 of this book. Starting 11,000 years ago at Acheron's birth, we finally get the full story of his childhood, and all of the events that lead up to him becoming who we meet early in the series. And, let me tell you, it was truly horrific reading! He was tortured and abused mercilessly and with no reprieve. It just went on, and on, and on. My heart broke so many times for him, and by the time I finished it I felt like I had run a marathon.

“I refuse to believe this was my fate. I was not meant to be this. I was never meant to be...” The pain in his eyes tore through her. “This can't be all I was born for.”

Part 2 of the book brings us to the present day, where we immediately see Ash meeting Tory. Tory is a fantastic character who we first met in The Dream Hunter. She’s a bit of a goofball, but is very sure of herself and unapologetic about who she is and what she wants. Their relationship unfolds slowly and realistically – with Tory hating Ash to begin with (and deservedly so), but from there they become friends and slowly start to fall for each other. There is lots of banter, and many moments that had me laughing and swooning. As they get to know each other more, Tory shows Ash the kindness and warmth that he had never experienced before and he slowly starts to trust her and move on from his past. I had to grab for the tissues several times as Ash finally fell in love and found somebody to love him after 11,000 years – “I don’t feel broken when you look at me.” *sniff sniff*.

The emotion you feel while reading this book is incredible. The fact we have watched Acheron be such a strong, generous, compassionate and loving soul for 14 books only to watch him suffer like he did is gut-wrenching. And then to see his amazement that Tory could overlook the horrors of his past, be completely accepting of him and love him for who he is, broke my heart all over again - but in a good way. And when he finally got his deliriously happy ending, I was grinning like an idiot and squeeing with tears in my eyes. And in between all of this there are some incredible moments that had me screaming out ‘F**K YEAH’ – Apollymi kicking ass (on multiple occasions – I loved her in this book) and the moment that we’ve all been waiting on – Artemis getting smacked down - “I'd bathe in your entrails, bitch.” Loved it!

Big shout-out too to the reunion scene where the boys from the previous books all come together to take Ash’s back. I think I hyperventilated there for a bit, it was so awesome. The fight scene that followed was great too.

“Acheron. When it absolutely, positively must be destroyed overnight.”

An incredible read! 6 amazing stars!

Frustrating and depressing.

I decided to read this because it has amazing ratings.
Warning: I used a lot of the word 'too'

This is not for me. All of the characters were too evil, except one. Yes, Acheron. Unfortunately I didn't like him either. While others were too cruel, he was too kind. I didn't care with everything else anymore because the characterization was already a major problem with this book.

Wow, there is so much to this novel it’s hard to process. First let me say it is really two novels in one.

Yes, I would say that even if I didn’t have an abusive past myself. And let me warn you the first 94 pages are the hardest to take. Blackbook, this is going to be very hard on you, too. The first novel is about Ash’s past….428 pages of intense pain, suffering, torture, you name it. IMO, this part of the book is too long. Yes, I would say that even if I didn’t have an abusive past myself. And let me warn you the first 94 pages are the hardest to take. Blackbook, this is going to be very hard on you, too. Ash was never wanted by his human parents. When he was seven years old he was given to his uncle (who hated him too), and his uncle turned Ash into a sex slave (what they call a whore). This continued until Ash was almost twenty. Yeah, we’re looking at over 10 years of daily gang rape on a child, as well as sexual slavery, sterilization, torture, beatings, and starvation. Eventually this ended with castration, his tongue being cut out, and death where he was gutted from his neck to his groin. And then there was Artemis, who is also fond of beatings and torture. That’s your 428 pages of misery.

Now some of this was important to help us understand the major events in Ash’s life and in the history of Atlantis. And these events helped move the plot along. But that’s not true of all the torture/beatings scenes. IMO this section could have been reduced by 100 pages. It got to the point where the reader becomes numb to the horridness of it all. The violence is just so excessive, and you know anytime Ash takes breath it will end in some misunderstanding where he is made to suffer something horrendously painful. Yes, it is much, much worse than the violence and torture in Ward’s BDB series for Z and V. And much worse than what Zarek suffered in his Dark-Hunter novel. Horrifyingly worse.

The second novel in this book is about Ash’s present, and how he finally fell in love after 10,000 years of existence. It took me a while to warm up to Tory. I remember her as a kid on Geary’s boat in “The Dream-Hunter.” And I couldn’t understand Ash’s attraction to her as an adult. Of course she is attracted to Ash, but who wouldn’t be…the man is SMOKING HOT!!! (naughty grin). But when she falls in love with him I could finally feel the chemistry between them, because Kenyon changed her personality so it worked better with Ash’s. This one has an incredibly sweet HEA ending. It’s the kind of HEA ending the fans of Ash always wanted for him. Lots of questions are answered in this novel for Dark-Hunter fans. Lots of info is finally given to fill in the holes in our knowledge. Many of the Dark-Hunters we know and love return in this novel, and that is great fun. Yes, this is a very important book in this series. Heart-wrenching, but a must read for sure!

I don't think I can ever write a review that can truly describe what an absolutely fantastic story it is. It's impossible to get my thoughts and feelings out, and I think everyone has to read it for themselves to truly understand what an horrible, wonderful and fantastic read it is.

I can't even explain how much I love Acheron. Everyone probably knows that I'm completely addicted to this series by now, and throughout the entire thing I've loved our wonderful and mysterious Ash--it's impossible not to! This book is split into two parts: past and present. I think that we've all wondered what really happened to Ash, and while this book gives us that, it's not for the faint-hearted. His story is horrible and very painful to read; it's completely heartbreaking and I had tears streaming down my face after only a few pages. After that I lost count on how many times my eyes were filled with tears... My heart was aching for him the entire time, and I mean aching. But I do admire him for not giving up hope on the world, and moving on as well as he did, even after his awful past. He's definitely one of the strongest heroes I've ever come across.

I can't say I ever liked Artemis, but after this book I can't stand her. She's plain mean. That she claims to care for Ash and even love him, is bullshit. She got worse with each page, and after knowing their entire story from the past, what she's doing in the future is even more horrible. After that ending, I don't have any caring feeling for her at all. She might have cared for him sometime, but now I just see cruel, mean and completely selfish. I'm so disappointed in these gods... Interesting enough though, I came to love the Destroyer instead. Aside from the destroying the world part (which I can't really argue with her about), she's actually caring.

After the second part, I'm feeling all giddy! Here it goes back to the lighter and more humorous tone again we've come to love in the previous DH books, and it was a real wonderful story. I loved meeting Tory again and to pair her with Ash... I loved them together! She's truly perfect for him and just what he needs. I loved seeing more of Ash's life and meeting so many familiar characters again; even just hearing about them through phone calls made me smile. It definitely had some very heartwarming, sweet as well as funny scenes that I absolutely adored! (Video game scene to name one, LOL.) To summarize things, I'm extremely happy for Ash; he definitely deserves to be happy!

Everyone should read this series! It's just topped my list of favorites; it's amazing, Kenyon is fantastic and everything's perfect. Wow. Just wow. As with so many other of these books, I'm sure I'll be back for a re-read in the near future. Love.

Wow. Wow. I’ve been anticipating this book for two months while I journeyed through the Dark-Hunter world. It lived up to all of my expectations, and more. Preparem-se para muita emoção, positivas e negativas, mas todas tempestuosas e viciantes, e preparem-se principalmente para não conseguirem, ou fazerem-no muito mal, resistir a ler a segunda parte. Eu consegui mas estou até com formigueiro... Eu vou conseguir não ler o resto!

E pronto! Não consegui esperar mais e li o que restava deste calhamaço que apesar do peso não me importei de andar com ele para todo o lado, sempre aberto. A minha sorte é que ele se lê tão bem que nem chegamos a ficar com dores no braço!
Como li esta parte a seguir ao nº10, i.e. O Caçador de Sonhos, acabou por calhar tudo bem, pois em termos temporais o Acheron passa-se quando a pequena Tory já é jovem-adulta.
E aqui é que está o melhor - melhor por que achei a segunda parte muito inferior à primeira! Apesar de já me terem feito spoiler sobre quem seria a cara metade do nosso Ash eu não estava mentalizada para encontrar a pequena Tory. Foi um máximo. Deviam ter visto a minha cara quando me apercebo do que se vai passar! Por isso é que digo que ainda bem que li o Acheron logo a seguir, se não passados 5 livros já eu me tinha esquecido e assim o impacto foi muito maior.
Mas apesar de ser o melhor tambem acaba por ser o pior, porque eu, como fã desta saga, sempre imaginei o Ash de uma forma mais velha e mais intocável. Ele aqui vai se transformar em algo mais "tocável" digamos assim e por isso mais semelhante aos restantes Predadores.
De qualquer forma, adorei o apoio dado por todos, porque nos restantes livros também tive essa sensação que o pessoal apesar de curioso nunca tentou ajudar a sério, ou até compreender, o Ash.
Também achei que todo o romance foi rápido demais. Como ele tinha aquele trauma sempre achei que ele se iria apaixonar devagarinho e aqui apesar daquela breve amizade tudo acontece muito depressa para o meu gosto. De qualquer forma acho que a Tory é suficiente para o Ash, principalmente depois com os poderes com que ela fica. E mais principalmente ainda depois da lição que ela dá à bezerra ruiva!! Havia de ter feito algo mais "físico".
Agora, depois deste livro, fico curiosa para saber se o nosso Ash vai continuar a aparecer, ou desaparecer, como dantes, ou se o Nick lhe vai tomar o lugar. Esperemos....(less)

Last year, I read it at my friend's insistence (heavy emphasis on insistence) and it was one of my favorite reads ever, but now that I read all the previous books in the series as well (and some of them really tried my patience, but in the end, I can say that it was worth if not for some of the great stories, at least for the glimpses I got of Ash), everything (and everyone) made so much more sense (I had a lot of awwww and ahaaa moments LOL). It was much easier to connect with Ash's character and to get him and his world - actually, I think I was even more touched by his story this time around. *sigh*

Seriously, you can't go wrong when Ash is involved! And now that I'm almost up to date with the series (I didn't even realize it when it became another one of my guilty pleasures) I'm worried about what PNR series I'm going to read next. I mean, one can read and enjoy YAs about love triangles and angsty teens and Dystopians about ruined worlds and people for so long without getting depressed! (no offense, I love those books too, but... Grr, I hope you know what I mean.:))

WOW! Just... Wow! This book was SO DAMN GOOD! I need to admit that I wasn't a fan of the Dark-Hunter series, but this book blew me away completely! And here I was thinking that after reading and obsessing over the Fever series, there's no other series in the world that can get to me. Like really, really get to me. With stories and characters that make you feel something, that make you care for them, cry and scream and swear and smile with them and question your own reality. Well, you know, that kind of thing.:)) Anyway, I'm glad I was wrong. And now...Oh, God! I need a good dose of reality.:))

While I appreciated all of Kenyon's DH books before this one, this is my favorite of the series. I'm writing this review after I've read it numerous times, and I have to say that I believe it gets better every time I read it. I pick up more things each time because for some reason I started reading this series when I only had a few of the DH books and have been going out of order ever since.

First, I want to mention Acheron...more Acheron is the fifteenth novel in Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark-Hunter series. While I appreciated all of Kenyon's DH books before this one, this is my favorite of the series. I'm writing this review after I've read it numerous times, and I have to say that I believe it gets better every time I read it. I pick up more things each time because for some reason I started reading this series when I only had a few of the DH books and have been going out of order ever since.

First, I want to mention Acheron's past. The things that man had to go through had me crying at some points. When Ryssa first went to see him probably had to be the most heart-breaking because he was so little and so afraid. I did like that with Ryssa's help and the help of the little girl who lived at the house, Ash came out of his shell a bit and wasn't quite so afraid. I hated, though, that his father and Styxx were so cruel to him that there was almost a complete reversal of everything that changed while he was with Ryssa. It made him into a hardened, cynical boy/man, and I wanted to cry when Ryssa, her father, and Styxx found Ash after Estes died and he was in the middle of "doing his job". All that he suffered was made even worse by what his father put him through, with the beatings, force feedings, castration. He should never have had to go through any of that pain and torture, much less all of it. Of course, Artemis only made it worse, and continued to do so even after eleven thousand years. The things he went through to protect her were unnecessary, and then she repays him by drugging him and letting his sister and nephew get killed. Then she watched as Apollo killed Ash and did nothing to stop it so that she could protect her precious reputation. I have to say, after reading all of this, I was thoroughly grateful for reaching the present. I have re-read this book numerous times and I have always had to skip reading Ash's past because I don't think I could handle it again.

That being said, I could read about Ash and Tory forever, I think. Their story is just so beautiful, adorable, honest, understanding. To be honest, the first time I read this, I actually started tearing up when Ash was embarrassing Tory during her presentation. However, it was poetic justice when Julian took her to see Ash and she threw a hammer at his head. I loved their interactions, the wit, the sarcasm, the sincerity of their feelings. I loved that Ash took the time to treat Tory like a princess and protected her from Artemis. I think it takes a special person to be able to disregard a person's past and completely accept them, and I was glad Tory was able to do that; Ash deserves someone to love him. I did not like, however, that Tory was so quick to judge him in the beginning, but with time she was able to see past her quick judgments and see the real him.

Overall, I thought the book was fantastic and I highly recommend it to everyone. It deserves every single star I gave it, and if I could give it more than five, I most definitely would.(less)

This book was awful. The first part of the book was just the same thing over and over. Ok yes I get it he was abused, everytime he trusted someone they betrayed him, yes I get it move on. The only reason I really liked this book is because we finally find out about Acheron's backstory. The first part: great. The second: one big struggle. Some things felt so weird and OOC.

I get it, he deserves some happiness, but he is different from the rest. Some of the things he did/said annoyed me and that has never happened before. He lost about half his fierceness, which is a very sad thing. Gone is the man that made my body tingle whenever his name was mentioned.

I hated most of this book.

Book 1 Acheron's torturous human life: Good stuff. Artemis was always a bitch.

Book 2 Present Day: Crap shit. Did someone else write this book? I wasn't buying any of it, and I had many moments of extreme eye-rolling.

I don't know what was worse, the horrible music and cheesey serenade in the club, or Acheron saying he wanted Tory on a platter. It didn't seem like those were things he would do or say at all.

I will advise you to do the same. Anyways, FINALLY I started it and my first shock was the fact that it’s long. 736 pages long…. Wow that’s a lot of Ash!

The book is divided into two parts, the first one is about his early life, and the second is, as you know after reading the previous books (shame on you if you didn’t), about his existence after his death.

Part one is brutal, I tell you this. In most of it I wanted to cry, the rest I wanted to kill almost all the characters in it except for Ash, and towards the end I got disgusted towards humanity. Yes, it was that bad. I won’t get into details because I don’t want to spoil it, but my conclusion is that we all have to learn a lot from this man. The amount of strength he showed is amazing and made me respect and love him even more than before.

Part two is softer, if I can use that term, compared to the first one. It’s full of a new Acheron, raw, sarcastic and determined to kick the ass of any SOB who gets in his way. Go Ash! The change in him is amazing, the story gets interesting and we have a happy ending (sort of). I’ll just leave it to this.

Aaanyways, in the end I must say that even after 736 pages I still didn’t get enough of this guy. He officially is my favorite character in this series, and probably can even compete with Bones (Night Huntress – check it out! It’s awesome). I still can’t make up my mind between these two lol. This certainly is my favorite book in this series.

Oh and before I forget, let me know what your thoughts on the Sprite issue. Was I the only one who found it hilarious? Drinking it will never be the same again…

A much anticipated book, Acheron starts off with a gut-wrenching punch ... and ended on a "awwww isn't that sweet", for me. (Not necessarily a bad thing, but not a great thing considering the character.)

Clocking in at over 700 pages, I'm so glad Kenyon didn't skimp on his story like I hear she did with some of her latest books. (I for one have no problem with large books- it satisfies my soul.)

the first part of the book (the past) was fairly well-written and definitely interesting- giving depth to acheron's motivations throughout this series. By the time I got to the second part, i was excited to read what kenyon had set out for acheron's present. disappointment begins to describe how i felt while reading. I feel like I say this alot about characters, but it really is true. She would occasionally stand up for Ash, but other times...when Ash had been imprisoned in this tiny little cell the size of a small dog crate...first of all, she didn't even realize he was there for about a million months, which I suppose isn't her fault, but, really, if she paid any attention to her surroundings, she would have figured it out. When she does find out, she goes to visit him...and proceeds to be cruel. Now, Ash hasn't eaten for weeks and has been stuck hunched over in some hole in the dungeon, so when Ryssa tries to speak to him, he's so weak he can't respond to her. What does she do? Screams at him and tells him she hates him and that he's awful etc..then storms off and leaves him there to rot. Nice.

As for Artemis. Can I kill her? After I torture her? She's evil. She uses Ash as a plaything and cares naught for his feelings at all. I mean, at one point she allows him to be castrated and while he's lying there sobbing, she just shrugs, snaps her fingers, puts his parts back, and says something like, "There, all better." Of course, this is after expressing her disgust with "eew" etc...She doesn't even do this to help him; it's so she can continue to practically rape him for however long he stays attractive, then she'll dump him away like garbage. And this b*tch gets no comeuppance!? What IS that!?

Also...I was very upset with what happened to Ryssa. I just...didn't like it at all.

Onto part two, where we get to know Tory. I like her a lot. She's strong without being annoyingly stubborn. She's judgmental, but who's perfect? She's also kind and loyal and stands up for what/who she believes in/loves. I loved the way she defended Ash and chewed Arty out. I also liked her reaction to Ash's revelation about who he was/is. I do think Kenyon could have gone into more detail about Tory's reaction to Ash's past. I just wish they could have discussed it a little. I know it happened a billion years ago, but...I'm sure it doesn't feel that way to Ash. I enjoyed the way Tory and Ash met. It was pretty funny. I also adored how Tory could make Ash clumsy, when that is so the opposite of who he is. He's all powerful and graceul...sort of...so to see him falling off a ladder looking at Try was pretty cute. I didn't think Ash got too sappy or corny, like some others. I mean, Ash was always a really nice, caring person, so...why shouldn't he be happy?

What really ticked me off though, is that Apollo the evil jerk-off and Artemis the idiotic witch didn't get their comeuppance. AT ALL. I loved the scene during which Ash's mother goes all apocolyptic. I was actually rooting for her to kill everyone, I was that pissed about what happened to Ash. Apparently, Apollo and Artemis can't die or the world will end or some such, sooo can they perhaps be imprisoned and tortured for all eternity, please??(less)

All through this series I have loved Acheron, now I love him even more after reading this book. This book told the story of how Acheron was conceived into the human world and how he was shunned from the moment he was born. It told of the cruelty that done to him as they turned him in a slave whore and It tells how he becomes into his Godhood on his 21st birthday.

Acheron - the God Apostolos, Harbinger and son of Apollymi the Destroyer - his will is the will of the Universe and the final fate of all.

After reading the first part of this book, I was so glad Apollymi took her wrath out and killed Acheron's father and everyone of them gods that wanted him dead and most of all, I was like cheering her on when she took out Acheron's human father and all the people who lived in that kingdom.

I hated Artemis for her two faced ways, she is such a bitch. I couldn't believe that she could say she loved Acheron and then stand by and watch her brother Apollo kill and gut him right in front of her.

I loved Tory from the beginning, I loved how she wasn't ashamed of Acheron because of his past and that she loved him for who and what he was no matter the baggage. I love the part when Acheron is playing the guitar in Sanctuary and dedicates and sings a song to her and then afterwards goes to her and kisses her - I totally melted in Awe.

Also the reason everyone who looks at Acheron and desires him is because on the day that Acheron was born in the human realm, the midwife who delivered him happen to be Apollymi's sister Epithymia (God of Desire) and she touched him and was the main reason he was treated like he was.

I have great respect for Apollymi even though she is the Goddess of Destruction, my heart went out to her as a mother who would do anything for her child. You know she really loved Acheron when she took Tory's soul after Tory was killed and then turned around and offered a way for her to remain with Acheron by giving her part of her powers and sending her back to her body so she could feed from Acheron and become vampire like Acheron and at the same time free Acheron from Artemis hold. I was like hell yeah.

I loved how all the Dark Hunters stood behind Acheron to help him like Torys friends. And best of all, the wedding at the end was precious.

However, now I'm currious to find out what will happen to Nick and how Artemis will screw him over.(less)
