This is an amazing collection of photos and memorabilia from the Man's entire career: Handwritten lyrics and notes to June and his kids. Canceled checks, contracts and ticket stubs. Candid photos and publicity shots from the early days. Goofy ads from the 70s for products he endorsed like STP oil and Lionel trains.
The only problem is that the author was a friend of Cash's and can't seem to take himself out of the equation when writing all the captions. Instead of interesting historical snippets,

I found this book interesting because it showed a side of Johnny I did not know so well - his compassion for others. He wrote several beauitful songs about love, but also seeing the human being in people who are too often ignored (the young, the families of dead soldiers, people in prision).

I just got this book. Its full of classic pictures, cool stories and his last interview. This would make a good coffee table book.
