Christina
This book tells a personal and amusing side of Arab life that I think few westerners get to see. This is the story of a writer for the BBC who falls in love with her Jordanian tourist guide. The book chronicles their tong distance relationship while also taking the reader on a personal and intimate tour of the middle east. A wonderful story, I highly recommend it.

Fascinating mainly for the insight into the differences between Western and Middle Eastern cultures and attitudes, woven around a tale of a relationship. It's a holiday read but also has good 'educational' value!
Andrew Hecht
It's a little on the girly side, but anyone heading for Jordon should pick up this little gem.
