Eagle Strike
By Anthony Horowitz

1. I decided to read the book Eagle Strike because I have read all the previous books in the series and they were quite interesting.

2. An interesting character in the story is Damian Cray. He is a very famous pop singer who is a very influential person to the world, as he has met people like the queen and the president of the USA. He seems to be a very likeable character, that is until the story progresses. He is interesting because he is different to your average...more

Eagle Strike by Anthony Horowitz has the basic problem solution plot structure, while being dreadfully slow. This book was meant to be an action story; however, it practically put me to sleep. In this book, Alex Rider is a 14-year-old spy! That’s about as unrealistic as it gets, even for a realistic fiction novel. This novel contains explosives, high speed chases, gun fights, assassinations, murders, real life video games, plane crashes and hostage situations, while all being completely predicta...more

I think each book in this series gets better and better. Eagle Strike continues the fast paced action. I found the book got a bit slow in the middle, but it certainly finishes with a bang. Off to get Scorpia now!
Having read 4 of the books in the Alex Rider series, Eagle Strike has to be one of my favorites. Alex Rider, a 14 year old spy, believes that Damian Cray, the world's most famous pop singer who is always donating to charity and wants world peace, is up to something no good. After Yassen Gregorovich, the assasin who killed his dad when mentions Cray's name in a phone call Alex becomes suspicious. He goes to the MI6 but they don't believe that a person like Cray would be attempting something bad....more

Teens these days are always complaining about how much of a bummer it is to go to school. The grades, the social environment, the future, its all too much for a teen to think about at once. Well try saving the world a couple of times and finding yourself in several life or death situations.

Anthony Horowitz, a British author outdoes himself with another amazing sequel in the Alex Rider series. In 2003 Horowitz published another sequel to his best selling series, Eagle Strike.

Eagle Strike, the fourth book in the Alex Rider series, is not a let down. This book begins with Alex vacationing in France with his friend Sabina. However, the fun vacation quickly takes a turn for the worst when Alex spots a prominent assassin, Yassen Gregorovich. In this book Alex fights to uncover the evil plot of a world-beloved pop star and philanthropist.

Horowitz once again delivers a fun and action-packed book, with all of the Alex Rider fan's favorite characters returning. I highly reco...more
I just adore this series and I think that each book is getting better. Alex Rider is such a real character and the reader identifies with him. The stunts he does to escape and get into places are a bit far-fetched but Alex, and the author, certainly are inventive! And it isn't any worse than James Bond's stunts.

In this story Alex is visiting the south of France with his girl friend's family when the bungalow they are renting is blown up and her father is badly injured and burned. When Alex sees...more
Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character in this book was of course the main character, Alex Rider because he is the exact same age as me and so I can relate to him a lot. His mind is quite similar to mine or any 14 year old boys. Like in the book, he was sun bathing and having a flash back when suddenly a pretty girl walked past and he stopped to look at her. Then when she left he went back to his business. He is also not stupid which I like because it annoys me in books wh...more

Eagle Strike, written by Anthony Horowitz, was a great action and adventure book to read. The protagonist Alex Rider, a teenage boy that is a spy, was on vacation and saw two national criminals. Of course him being his curious self he wants to find out what they are planning. He soon finds out that they have plan to destroy all drug cartel countries in the world. This plan sounds good to those people who created and the main person that was in charge was a world famous pop-star named Damian Cray...more

This is the fourth book in Anthony Horowitz’s Alex Rider series, so I’m not even going to comment on the fact that it’s a rip-off of James Bond. If you’re already this far in the series, you obviously don’t care about the predictable plot. But if you’re new to the series, you should read Stormbreaker first, to get an idea of what you’re in store for.

By this book, Alex is a bit less of a cardboard cutout than he was in the first few books, but that isn’t saying much. He gets a little bit of chara...more
summary: Alex Rider can't prove to m16 that Sir Damian Cray is going to do something bad so hes on his own. Cray steals Air Force 1 and he and his men have to wear biochemical suits. Cray wants to use missiles to destroy all the places where drugs are shipped. Alex has to survive a bullfight, being chased on his bike by fast cars, and being a human target in a video game.

opinion: This book is really really good.

recomendation: I thhink you should definetly read this.
The major theme of the story is that even good people can be evil. This is demonstrated by Damian Cray, who donates money to children and is a very zealous player in environmental protection, when he attempts to launch nuclear missiles at various drug facilities around the world. Now you may be thinking drugs are bad so isn’t that supposed to be good? Well, consider the fact that the drug facilities are located in populated city full of people and you’ll find that the not only does the missiles...more

I chose this book because I enjoyed the other books in the Alex Rider series. In this book Alex is on his own when he is turned down by MI6 to superstar Damin Cray is accused of being a criminal, but MI6 does not believe him because Damin Cray donated billions to charity. although they later find out that Cray was actually trying to drop 25 Nukes on different parts of the planet to kill drug lords. Not if Alex has anything to do with it, Alex later saves the whole world and then finds out his de...more
This series keeps getting better and better. This time Alex is on his own. No one believes him, that a famous singer and philanthropist has a nefarious plan. He has to endure being rejected by his one and only friend as well as the cuts and bruises that seem to follow him wherever he goes. Only this time, the biggest injury is one no one can see.

I can't help but hurt for this young man. The only person that he has in his life that he can trust is his guardian. The things that he has to carrying...more

This book was really good because it was nonstop action. At the beginning of the book Alex was on vacation with his girlfriend when he stops the assassin that killed his super spy uncle. Alex immediately drawn to him. Alex goes to explore and figures out the assassin is carrying out a deed for the pro singer Cray. Alex is surprised by this but when Alex's girlfriends beach house gets blown up and her dad is wounded Alex is starting to believe it's true. When Alex is walking through the wreckage...more

The book starts off on a suspenseful scene that seems to be completely unrelated to the rest of the book. The love story throughout the story is pretty pathetic considering it's between two young teenagers. In the end of the book it explains how the girl is moving across the sea and they will never see each other ever again. How sad! Most of the action scenes seem very unrealistic when I think about how they would play out in real life. The structure of the book is very well laid out. When I fin...more

I thought that this book was... addicting, in a sense, because deep in my mind, whenever I wasn't reading it, I was subconsciously thinking about it. I found this book to be a real thriller and would recommend it to anyone who likes action and adventure, with a sophisticated plot.
I thought that this was a good action-adventure book. In the fourth book of this series Alex Rider the protagonist and the kid spy goes on a mission has suspicion that a famous singer is really a evil mastermind. Though MI6 the English secret doesn't approve when Alex has done so much for him, a man who makes things for MI6 sends Alex a "spy" bike. After doing further investigation Alex gets almost killed being put into a real life video game, but in this one there is no extra lives. Then a girl...more

What larks and so much better written than the last book I read! The action never stops and Alex is a true teenage hero, with guts, panache and lots of life. The baddies are proper bad and the goodies are suitably good. Great stuff!
