I'm sorry to say that this book is an example of how not to do historical fiction. Although the characters are skillfully drawn by Jim Rugg and the colors are nicely 80s Germanic, the panels are just workmanlike, mostly 8 to a page, and much of the action is lost in their smallness and darkness. The plot itself is jumbled. Characters come in and out so fast that there's no way to track who knows who, where they are geographically, and if the story is in flashback or not.
