The third installment of the Gossip Girl series is much like the ones before it. Following the lives of Serena, Blair, Aaron, Dan, Vanessa, Nate and Jenny (with the occasional Chuck Bass sighting) as they go through their lives. Much like the other books, it is a fast paced read, but very well written. The one thing I find I miss with the books though, after becoming a fan of the television show, is that there is just not enough Chuck Bass in these books. If I had to pick three words to describe this book, these would be it. The amount of name dropping in this book ridiculous. I've never seen so much name dropping. Not even in My Immortal.

This installment in the Gossip Girl series is much like the first two. There are more than a few humorous scenarios with some less than stellar morals on the parts of the characters. Nate’s constant toking up gets old very quickly and I honestly cannot stand his character. I like Jenny even less. I never liked Jenny in the show, but I like her even less in the books. Serena still seems to draw me in and I find her the most enjoyable character. Her interactions with Blair are the strongest part of this book. The girls are so comfortable around each other and they just come off as being best friends. Their interactions and dialogue is perfect. As for Chuck, he’s still nearly nonexistent and Dan has become quite the bore. I like Aaron, Blair’s stepbrother, though. He sounds like my type of guy, minus the fact that he has the hots for his stepsister.

I enjoyed the first two Gossip Girl books and this one was very similar, but I think I can only take so much meaningless partying and drama. The story doesn’t seem to have any real forward progress because the only characters that really have goals are Blair and Vanessa. The books are fun to just read, but I’m getting tired of them. I’ll be reading the fourth one and that’s probably it.

Opening line: Christmastime in New York City really is magical, especially uptown.

Favorite line: You are my Frankenstein.

It's ridiculous how stuck up and bitchy these characters are, but I just can't help but keep reading. It's like a little guilty pleasure. There lives and stories are so silly that it makes me laugh. I can't help but want to know what else is going to happen.

I had so much fun reading this book! I think that this series is the type of series that you can't really have any high expectations for and if you go into it with that mindset it is a series you'll really enjoy and "All I Want is Everything" was no exception.

The plot. I really enjoyed the plot of this book and I think that this would have to be my favourite book in the series so far. I loved seeing all of the drama that surrounded the characters and just seeing everything that they got up to and how relationships were formed or crushed in the book. I also loved the pacing of the book and how it is told from multipul perspectives so im really starting to get to know each of the characters a little better with each new book I read.

The characters. I thought that they were all written very well and were all very relateable in their own ways. They all had they quirks and flaws and I find that it really adds to how realistic the charcter is.
Serena. I really enjoyed reading about Serena's character in this book. I love how she always makes the best out of the situation that she's in and never really cares what anybody else thinks.
Blair. I like how I got to see just how focused and driven she is in this book, though I don't always agree with her methods I think that it shows a lot about her character.
Nate.I really enjoyed Nate's charcter in this book. I enjoyed watching his and Jenny's relationship grow throughout the book and how I got to see more of his romantic side.
Jenny. I am really starting to enjoy Jenny's character even more with each book I read and I can understand why she has her own spin off series. I loved watching her evolove throughout this book and I thought that Nate really helped her come out of her shell and grow into a more confident person.

Overall this is a book that I really enjoyed and I thought that it was a great thrid novel in the series. I thought that it was a light fun read and I cannot wait to see what happens to all of the characters in the next book.(less)

Ah - the Gossip Girls - for some reason these books are really good to me. They are quick, easy, enthralling reads. It's like a teenage soap opera and I am hooked. I love the characters and the reange of characters that Ms. von Ziegesar uses. You have the wealthy elite, and the middle class, you have the stoner boy, the poetry boy, the vegan boy and the metro boy. The girls are all different too, but with typical and non-typical teenage problems.

Book number 3 helped me to get to know the characters better and be more intrigued by the story. I will definitely be reading these through to the end and look forward to each one I read.

For parents of teenagers - realize this is what is out there right now - there is sex, some language, drinking and drug use. I think of reading these as a way of educating myself for when my boys are older so I know what is out there. I think it's typical of the tv shows out there for teenagers now - it's just a little more advanced than the 90210 that I grew up with :)(less)

Jag tycker att boken håller sig i ungefär samma mått som de andra böckerna i serien. Om man tänker efter inser man att det inte är så himla mycket som händer i böckerna, och det är egentligen roligast att läsa när Gossip Girl skriver.

Alles ist mir nicht genug ist der dritte Band der Gossip Girl Reihe von Cecily von Ziegesar. Diese Reihe um fasst 15 Bände und wird aktuell erfolgreich als Serie verfilmt, welche mittlerweile schon in der 3. Staffel (in Deutschland) ausgestrahlt wird. Die Verbindungen von Buch und Serie ist eher oberflächlich und stimmen in vielen Details nicht über ein.

Fazit:
Es ist jetzt das dritte Buch was ich von Gossip Girl gelesen habe. Ich bin an diese Reihe über die Fernsehserie gekommen, wie wohl einige von euch und muss sagen für mich sind Buch und Serie ein himmelweiter Unterschied. Die Charaktere in der Serie sind besser aufgebaut und nicht so oberflächlich wie sie im Buch sind. Im Buch ist mir manchmal bei der Dummheit mancher Leute zum kotzen schlecht und… ich weiß nicht, ich muss doch weiter lesen.
Einer ist verliebt und kriegt es einfach nicht hin etwas zu sagen, ist dann aber zickig wenn das Mädel was er liebt sich an jemand anderen macht, von dem sie glaubt ihn zu lieben und einen Film im Kopf spielen lässt… und… sie sind alle wirklich dumm wie Bohnenstroh! Anders kann ich das nicht beschreiben, aber… anstatt das Buch frustriert weg zu werfen, halte ich es krampfhaft umklammert und lese jede einzelne Seite und jedes klitzekleine Gerücht! Vielleicht ist das etwas die Kompensation meiner Jugend, aber… ich mag es!
Es ist keine extrem spannende Geschichte und nur minimal existiert eine gesellschaftskritische Seite, aber… ich kann nicht aufhören zu lesen, wenn ich ein Buch angefangen habe. Es hat etwas von Celebrity Quatsch, den ich eigentlich nicht gerne verfolge, aber ich denke genau das wollte Von Ziegesar einfangen, also hat sie ihre Sache gut gemacht, wenn schon jemand wie ich, der absolut keinen Bock auf Klatschzeitungen hat diese Bücher nit weg legen kann, obwohl sie auch noch die Charaktere so platt findet. Am besten gefallen mir die Gossip Girl Einblendungen, so nenn ich das jetzt mal. Dieses giftige Mädchen (ich vermute hier einfach mal das es wirklich ein Mädchen ist) hat so viel Witz und Charme… meine Fresse das macht Spaß zu lesen. Ich gebe diesem Buch 4 Sterne!

When I first started to read this book I had no clue what I was reading. The first few chapters of this book are very confusing. The author introduces all of the characters at the same time. She goes back and forth between characters and changes the topic all the time. I found that as I kept reading the book got better and easier to understand. It was a struggle to keep reading though. With the first two Gossip Girl books, the focus was mainly on the glitz and glamour of the world these characters inhabit, and it was nice to see more focus being put on the characters themselves this time around. All I Want is Everything is in my opinion the best and most fun Gossip Girl yet.

All I Want Is Everything, was even better then the first two and so far my favorite, out of the Gossip Girl series. All I Want Is Everything, was even better then the first two and so far my favorite, out of the Gossip Girl series. To me, it seemed like there was more going on in this book then first two, it captured my attention more and I didn’t want to put the book down till I finished up. Even as I finished it, I wanted to pick up next one right away. All I Want Is Everything made be able to connect with character more, and it seemed more realistic. After connecting with character, I needed to know what would happen with them next, what their next adventures will be. I’m excited to check out Because I’m worth it, already have feeling it be as great.

GOODREADS SUMMARY
It's Christmastime and Blair and Serena are best friends again and up to their old tricks--partying hard and breaking hearts from Park Avenue to the Caribbean. Blair's mom and Cyrus are having their honeymoon in Salt Key. And when school lets out for the holiday, Blair, Serena, Aaron, and company head down there to blow off steam after their midterm exams. In between Pina Coladas and topless sunbathing, Blair and Serena plot revenge on super-jerk Chuck Bass.

Everyone jets back to NYC for Serena's New Year's party, during which Nate and Blair may or may not finally go all the way, and Serena may or may not be discovered to be the secret fling of Hollywood's hottest young leading man.

It seemed that each Gossip Girl novel that I pick up, it seems to get more interesting, and it has more drama going on, more going on. I got to say, I really like Aaron in this book, even thought I didn’t have a problem with him before, and there was something about him that I liked. I think he is just a likable person and I feel like I could connect with him. I did feel sorry for him; I can only imagine how it must felt for him to see Blair with another guy, when it was clear that he was in love with her. I was actually surprised that she didn’t figure that out. I was glad when he and Serena kissed at end of book, he deserved to be happy and maybe that would get his mind off Blair.

Now Nate, I honestly wasn’t all that fond of him in this book. First he dumps Blair for Jenny, then he ditches Jenny after he finds all those paintings of him. I guess I can see why he did that, I still believe that instead ditched her at Serena’s party, he should called her, told her. Way he did it, just didn’t seem right. He did dump Blair for Jenny and then he went back running to Blair. I just got a feeling that he is going be the type of guy that will keep on breaking hearts. He needs figure out who he really wants. I’m hoping that he would stop getting high all the time, I believe none of his relationship will go far if he keeps it up.

Serena kind of irritated me in this book, I am not sure why. I’m actually finding myself liking Blair more than Serena. To me, Blair just seemed more realistic which Serena seemed bit too cheery all the time. My favorite part of book, was setting along with Gossip Girl, I loved reading those. I was curious what is going to be discovered there next. These books are enjoyable read and I am looking forward to next one. I’m especially eager see what happens with Blair, if Nate and Blair would actually end up back together.
