Lady Raven RAVE! for readers

Raven grew up the princess of Flint, MI. With her father being Benjamin Atkins, no one touched her, until her path crosses with Mizan, an up and coming hustler. Mizan manipulates everything around him to get what he wants and what he wants is Raven and her father’s thorn as the top kingpin in Flint.

A great novel, but I cringe and detest the ending because selfishly it’s not what I wanted. I felt that I went through so many diff
This was a very good book. I rate it a 4.5. A real page turner. Raven was the daughter of a kingpin in Flint, MI. He kept his family removed from the lifestyle and danger by residing in a suburb of Flint. As Raven grew up, she wanted all eyes on her and she wanted to be older than she actually was. She was very pretty and had a nice body. Well she caught the attention of the wrong man, Mizan. Mizan was a stick up man. From their initial encounter I had a bad feeling. You will see the wheels turn ...more

If this book was written by Shakespere himself it would no doubt be a Tragedy. Oh yes this one is a tear jerker...

This book was about a 17yr old girl Raven who meets a street hustler named Mizan age 22. Mizan imo was the devil incarnate in fact he is the second character i have read this year that brought out deep hate i never knew i had. Good job Ms. Antoinet
Every step of the way I found myself rooting for Raven. So young, trying to live a fast life and getting caught up with people who didnt have her best interest at heart. A lot of tragedy went down in this book. I did love the girlfriend relationship between Raven and Nikki, always there for one another. And who couldn't love Ethic, he oozed swag and charisma as well as being street smart. This was definitely a good listen. The ending got me, didn't expect what was coming until the last minute. This book was recommended to me by a fellow reader. I thought she liked me. But apparently not. I like a bad boy book. I like hard to love characters. But these people. They take that to a whole new level. They are mean. And the girl...Raven. I want to slap her. She caused so many problems. OMG. She gets a gold medal in naïve and stupid. And it hurts everyone around her.

Raven is the daughter of a very successful drug dealer. That makes her feel special, important and privileged

Raven is 17 and she lives in the suburbs of Flint, Michigan. She lives in the suburbs because her father her to get away from all the crimes that was in the city of Flint, Michigan. The story hooked me and had me truly invested in the characters. I really liked the book for the most part; however, can the woman catch a break!!!…
I mean what a Freakin’ Disaster…Don’t lead me down such a Traaagic path only to end it in such a cruel way…I felt cheated.

There were so many chance's for this story to change for the better, one should've been taken....This book should teach you not to shelter your kids to much, because they'll end up idiots.

*** 4.5 "#ETHICS" STARS *** to come.
Just got this one in the mail today. Can't wait to crack it open! Great read!
3.5 I want to shake you girl Stars...

My thoughts to come...
I started this book and then had to put it down and wait a couple of days and begin reading it again. Raven Is the daughter of a kingpin. She asks for nothing. She has everything she could every ask for. That is until she meets Mizan. Mizan is the stick up kid who wants Raven's Father's place. Raven's actions prove to be the answer to Mizans wants. While the book was good and quick to read, i hate books where the characters do not show any growth. I wanted to shake her and say "GET A GRIP!" Some ...more
WOWWWWWWW! What can I say, one thing is for sure is that a hard head makes a soft A**! Raven was like so many of these young girls today, grown and hard headed. I was so disappointed in her on what she did to her father just to be with the ENEMY. I especially liked Ethic for being the man he was and always coming to the rescue, I think they were a good pair. I wont give to much away but this was definitely a Awesome read and I highly recommend this book, I could not put it down until I finished ...more

Finish this book in two days. It was so Good! but of course it was, It's by Ashley, and her& JaQuavis books are off the chain and If you haven't starting reading any of there books then you are seriously missing out!:) "Get on top of your Reading Game"...

Mizan was Evil as any low-down dirty man could get, Raven like most young "in love dumb girls" had to find out the hard way.
I thought I had read all the books on bad boyz. But bad is these gangstas...If this is really the life for real. Its damn scary. I mean these guys called players that manipulate...they truly put the meaning to the words MIND FUCK.

Playing with fire you’re sure to get burned.
A Street novel! Moth to a Flame was exactly that, but this book was more than just a story of the ups and downs and wrong turns of a young girl who had it all. I, like so many other teenagers can relate to this book. It had so many heated moments from the beginning it was filled with page turning detail and never ending drama. New York Times bestselling author Ashley Antoinette captured all the obstacles a teen girl that’s trying to become women can

This was a really decent read. In the beginning, it kind of put me in the mind of The Coldest Winter Ever with a little twist. I'm really picky about reading books that have errors in them and this book had quite a few. I was able to ignore them in the beginning, but towards the end, I was frustrated. There weren't many, but after building up, I just got a little annoyed (that's just me though). With all the things Raven went thru with Mizan, I surprisingly didn't find myself judging her for her ...more
Even though I don't like Raven because of all the things she's inflicted on the people around her and more so herself just because she was in love with Mizan (she betrayed her parents for a hustler she barely knows), this book was a page-turner. I read this book weeks ago and frequently scenes pop into my mind that really gets me thinking and I love it when books leave a lasting impression on me. This book's impression on me was positive because even though the story is tragic,it was well writte ...more

This was a great story.. I mean love ..passion.. betrayel..Lust ..but at the end of the day I'm SHOCKED AND CONFUSED by a DADDY'S GIRL OF THE GAME ...would turn on and be so OBLIVIOUS to the goings on when faced with the situation.. I know the men want to shield their daughters but the way the STORY IS WRITTEN I find it a little unrealistic in this why does the women have to die in the end...why couldn't there be another miracle well not miracle but just more apt killers ..especial ...more

Another 5 star must read, but sad ending. Loved Ethic's character and swagger. I wouldn't mind reading more about him. I wouldn't spit on Mizan if his dirty behind was on fire. So glad Ethic got to give him a taste of some of the pain he had put Raven through. Poor Raven wanted to be grown way before her time, and because of that she was so easily manipulated, and ended up losing everyone she loved. I hate that Justine wasn't strong enough to endure. She was truly a gangsters wife. This was a gr ...more
A woman can't change a man, but a man can change a woman in the worst way

Wow, is all I can say about this read. I wasn't expecting the turn of events in the book at all, and was surprised by a lot. It definitely kept me focused, and the plot kept me entertained. I feel there was a message behind this story, that some women and young girls should definitely take heed to.
Now honestly, I hated the main character Raven. She pissed me off from beginning to end. It just seemed like she would never ma

Wow this book was phenomenal. From beginning to end it held my interest. I am so very sad though the way it ended. It seemed Raven never had a full chance at life. It's like her life was stolen at such a young age. It goes to show you how you precious life can be stolen by one wrong decision. So many women get themselves caught in that same trap, they get infatuated by one guy and he turns out to be the devil. I really would have liked it to have ended much happier but hey, it was awesome still.

I really didn't like this book. The only positive thing about it was that the plot was quick so it wasn't dragging on or boring.
I am honestly so confused by the amount of rave reviews it has received. The writing is mediocre and the cliches made me cringe.
For instance, this is an actual sentence describing a kiss: "It was rare like a full moon, a beautiful sunset, and she cherished it like an exquisite diamond." Ew.
This in contrast with all the "booty" "fly as hell" "best bitch" comments made l
This was a pretty good book. I found myself yelling at the main character often, but it had a good lesson to it.This book had me hooked right from the first sentence. This is the most astonishing book ever. Raven Atkins is the daughter of Benjamin Atkins a notorious drug lord in Flint, Michigan. As much as Benjamin tries to shield his daughter from the evils of the world Raven has a mind of her own. When she meets Mizan a street hustler Raven sacrificed everything to be with him. Mizan is ruthle ...more

Moth To A Flame by Ashley Antoinette is a good book. It will not allow me to put this book down because the main character (Raven) came from dumb young girl to smart young girl. She didn't listen to her parents and anyone else because Mizan is a bad news to Raven. My favorite character in this book is Ethic because he is a loyal and a good man to Raven. He doesn't put his hand on her and cheated on her. Mizan is a something else. I felt bad what's happen to Raven and her parents. Reading from Mo ...more
I started out looking for a book to read for my Reading 82 class and ran upon this book. The back of the overview hooked me. This was the first book I have ever read in under three weeks. Ashley Antoinette created a great character by the name Raven Atkin to depict the harsh life abused women go through under the control of insecure manipulative men like Mizan. From a man to a woman, I am sorry! What I do like about this book, she did justice for the good men that are in this world by placing Ra ...more
Wow this book was so good. I could not put it down I had to finish it before I went to bed tonite. Ashley has become one of my top five authors, she has not disappointed me yet and I am loving it... This book is a must read for anyone who has not read this book.
This book was really good...Raven has to be the dumbest girl I've ever read about...With her daddy being a king pin you would think she would have more common sense/street knowledge...She was the downfall of her entire family...It's just sad at how naive she was!
H U S T L E R --Being that I first meet Ethic in Prada Plan--he is the same man (my fictional boyfriend)--his story needs to continue on--hate how things ended for Raven. Mizan gets what he deserves (uggh).
This book is very well written. The author is fairly new to me and while I love her writing style, the jury is still out as to whether I'll read more of her works or not. I don't normally read this genre of fiction (urban) but the premise of this story was interesting. I fell in love with Ethic, Raven's true love. I guess it is a compliment to the author that I was on pins and needles throughout this entire book. I felt like I was in the middle of all the madness that was Raven's life. How could ...more
