(3.5)Raven lives a sheltered life, which I think her downfall b/c she doesn’t see how manipulating Mizan is towards her. Raven is the daughter of a kingpin; she gets everything she wants w/out even asking. Her father soft on her b/c she is his first born. He tries to convince her Mizan is bad news, he knows he trouble from the start, but Raven won’t listen and gets sucked into his manipulating ways.

This was a really decent read. In the beginning, it kind of put me in the mind of The Coldest Winter Ever with a little twist. I'm really picky about reading books that have errors in them and this book had quite a few. I was able to ignor them in the beginning, but towards the end, I was frustrated. There weren't many, but after building up, I just got a little annoyed (that's just me though). Wow this book was phenomenal. From beginning to end it held my interest. I am so very sad though the way it ended. It seemed Raven never had a full chance at life. It's like her life was stolen at such a young age. It goes to show you how you precious life can be stolen by one wrong decision. So many women get themselves caught in that same trap, they get infatuated by one guy and he turns out to be the devil. I really would have liked it to have ended much happier but hey, it was awesome still....more
I have read every Ashley and Jaquavis book to date, and I always find them to be a very good read. I also read this book in less than 2 days and found myself getting caught up in Raven's love affair...I was SOOOOOO rooting for her and Ethic! The reason why i rated it a 3 is because I felt this book had the same ending as Dirty Money, one of their first books. If I would not have already read the other book, I'm sure I would have given this book a higher rating.

Finish this book in two days. It was so Good! but of course it was, It's by Ashley, and her& JaQuavis books are off the chain and If you haven't starting reading any of there books then you are seriously missing out!:) "Get on top of your Reading Game"...

i loved loved loved this book. i would give it 10 stars if they were available. its about a young girl named Raven who feel like shes shes grown and wants to make grown up decisions about what she thinks is love . These decisions that may cause alot of hurt and grieve to more than herself. will she ever grow up and realize that what true love is?
I started this book and then had to put it down and wait a couple of days and begin reading it again. Raven Is the daughter of a kingpin. She asks for nothing. She has everything she could every ask for.That is until she meets Mizan. Mizan is the stick up kid who wants Raven's Father's place. Raven's actions prove to be the answer to Mizans wants. While the book was good and quick to read, i hate books where the characters do not show any growth. I wanted to shake her and say "GET A GRIP!"...more
All young women should read this novel. I believe it is the best work Ashley Snell has written to date. I am a fan of all her works and I believe this is her best independent work.
This was my first book by Ashley & is was a good read. Although, I was not happy with the ending! I will be seeking more of her books.
This Book about abuse and love was extremly moving that made me cry in the end. And I never cry from books

This book was good, but also sad. Here I was thinking that no one could ever compare to Carter in the Cartel.I was wrong......Ethic was so appealing to me and attractive! Even with the way the described him after the accident, I was still loving him. I loved his character he was laid back, not flashy! Enjoyed it!
I love everything she writes but it was hard to get into Raven the main character because she was truly the dumbest girl I have ever read about. It was a lot of valuable lessons in the book. I suggest every young girl read this book.
I haven't finished the book yet but..............OH MY GOD!!!!! This book is the best I've read all year.( i know that the year just got started.:)

Mizan was a complete asshole from the beginning. Raven was too rebellious and naive and stupid to notice anything. Ethic was the bomb diggity. Nikki, poor thing.
