Full disclosure, of course: Andi Watson is a friend and I have worked with him as the editor-in-chief of SLG Publishing, where many of his works have been published.

Andi Watson has that keen gift of depicting life and his characters' struggle to understand it. In this book, Simon is learning to be a father, trying to balance his desire for fulfillment in his work and his family's financial needs with the time he wants to spend with his three-year-old daughter Cassie.

What is it like to be the father of a three-year-old little girl? "It's a very long shopping list of contradictory emotions often experienced simultaneously," says Andi Watson. "I'm more patient and more frustrated. I'm a prince, a fairy godmother, a tickler, a monster, a bather, a grump, a pushover, and a storyteller." Mostly, he says, "It's good."

Una historia tierna sobre las dificultades de ser padre. Recomendada al igual que el resto de la obra de Andi Watson

A short and sweet book about one man's attempt to define for himself the word "father."

graphic novel. very enjoyable. simple story of a modern day father and dilemmas he is facing: work versus stay-at-home, extreme love for child versus frustration... we go through the different stages of pregnancy, delivery, no-sleep, start of day care... the daddy version. some aspects very touching.
graphics very simple, well done, easy to read, in keeping with story.

This probably wouldn't be such a fantastic book if only we had more "normal" graphic novels like it. This said, it's very good, and if you are of "breeding age" (20+) you really want to read it.

Je comprendra certainement mieux les propos et la réflexion développé dans cette BD, quand je me retrouverai dans la même situation...
