(I apologise in advance for the length of this review.)

Look at the cover.

Just look at it.

When a dear friend pressed Virgin with Butterflies into my hands, I knew I held something special. Sure, virgins are a dime a dozen when it comes to fiction, especially when paired with the words “bride”, “mistress”, “boss's” and “billionaire's”, but here we have a virgin who is not defined by a man. A note on the rating -- This is a TERRIBLE book, and I LOVED IT. It is like reading a B movie. If that's something you'd enjoy, you might want to check this out -- this pulp novel is a reprint of one of Harlequin's early releases, from before they began specializing in romance. Cliches! TERRIBLE HORRIBLE stereotypes that stand in for characterizations! War with Japan! Crazy plot that make no sense! This book has it all.

This is such a fantastic read.
Okay, so irt's not well-written or whatever, but that just fits the voice of the nameless protagonist whose charm and all-american persona delighted all the characters she had met.
All the events in the story flowed excitingly and the way the narrator described things and talked was just very amusing.
It's such a good read, i swear.b

This was an entertaining period piece about a very simple girl who becomes embroiled in government affairs. I had a hard time believing a girl could be so dumb, but otherwise a good read, although I hate books written in dialect!

It was a little confusing to read. The narrator would jump forward and then she would say that she would talk more about that later and then go back to the present. The fifties dialogue was a little hard to follow.

This is not a faithful reprint of the original novel but a bowdlerization. You should boycott this book.
