Very basic rhyming text introduces your child to a handful of favorite trucks...semis and tow trucks, street cleaners, construction equipment, garbage truck, and ice cream truck. There are also mail trucks, armored trucks, hot dog trucks, grocery delivery trucks, pick-up trucks and a logging truck in the background illustrations.
This book illustrates a community helpers and various transportation. A child names many of his favorite trucks and one’s most notable characteristic. I recommend this book because it takes readers through the roaring world of rumbling trucks and reveal each truck’s special job.
My 2 year old son wants to read this book every night and I haven't gotten tired of it yet! The illustrations are colorful and fun. Short simple sentences are good for short attention spans ( mine and his) and also for big sis who is a new reader! Lots of different trucks too!
My toddler son's favorite book. He will pick it from the shelf every time.
For the two-year-old, great. But I am frankly DONE with truck books!!!!

Personally, I prefer cars.
Lots of trucks...
This book has great drawings and simple sentences. 2-year-old Graeme has memorized it. I liked also that it included a hot dog truck (reminiscent of the Oscar Mayer weiner mobile) in it's line of trucks.
First time I looked at this I didn't like it near as much as Byron Barton's "Truck" - but second, third and forth go round, it's a hit each time, cause indeed Stig loves Trucks!
Read at Baby Lap Time on 4/8/11.
