3.5 stars. Brook is a recluse, recovering from an abusive marriage, meets Mallory, a libertine artist also her best friend's brother in beauteous Cornwall. Mallory is drawn to Brook's hidden fire and slowly begins courting her. Brook's conflict between her passion and her judgmental family and a rather large cast of characters forms the bulk of the story.
