This books is UK-based but it is a good source of information for nurses caring for people with diabetes. In particular, the chapter about erectile dysfunction is useful for bringing up what could be an awkward topic.
The only reason I didn't give this book 5 stars was because I thought the section on gestational diabetes could have been expanded to include the epidemiology of gestational diabetes and further information about neonatal complications.
