The book called The Midnight Library is a well written book. The book is about a girl who is going through some problems with her family's health and such. Her mom ends up in the hospital and there's not exactly anything that she can do. She hears voices of people talking, listens into phone calls between people all the time, and this so called power isn't something she can control. The book is good if you like mysterious and kind of creepy books. It definitely portrays an image in your head of ...more

One day, Kate hears voices while she's in the graveyard putting flowers on her grandmother's grave. It was her sickly mother's request; she fulfilled it before she went to school after her visit to her mother's hospital bed. Of course she just thinks that the whispers are someone talking, since the halls are really hollow and you can hear just about anything from the graves. Well, when the days pass by she starts to hear phone conversations that talk about

This is the first book in the Midnight Library series. It contains three stories, beginning with the story of Kate, who suddenly starts hearing voices.

The book sort of reminded me of Goosebumps. The stories are fast-paced and a bit creepy. I personally didn't find them scary, but the stories were good, especially for October reading.

Not one of my favorite horror books, but it was an enjoyable read.

The midnight library by Damien Graves is a horror/mystery novel with three very unique and different stories inside. The book is very excellent at leaving you wanting more and what happens next. The names of the three stories are Voices, A Perfect Fit, and An Apple A Day. Voices is about a girl named Kate who recently discovered her mom has a mysterious illness that is slowly hurting her. That is until one day Kate's mom is suddenly healed and feeling much better. But soon after Kate starts hea ...more

Isn't it supposed to be scary? It wasn't, at all.
But, it was good anyway.

The Cat Lady includes three stories. In the titular story, “Cat Lady,” Chloe takes a dare to throw a stone at the window of the local creepy old woman whose house is filled with cats. In the next story, “Who Dares Wins,” Mark and Calvin, friends who are naturally competitive, vie for the attention of the mysterious Chrissie. The last story, “Don’t Wake The Baby,” is about a babysitting job gone awry. The quality of the stories is uneven. The titular story is the strongest, with the most ouch app ...more

Kate was an ordinary girl living with her family. Her mom was really sick and she stayed for days at the hospital. Kate didnt want her mom to die and she brought her gifts every time she visited her. One day she visited her grandmother at the grave. On her way home, she heard voices around her head. She couldn’t understand why this was happening to her. One day she discovered that she was able to hear other people's conversations. one day she heard her dad talking in the phone. she heard his con ...more

The Midnight Library offers a series of scary short stories for kids that read like the Goosebumps books; fast paced, exciting, and scary, but not too scary. Just enough to be fun.
Voices tells the story of a girl who begins to hear voices after her mother falls ill and she visits her in the hospital. A Perfect Fit is about a boy whose sneakers have a will of their own and keep getting him into trouble by being involved in crimes all around town and bringing the evidence back. An Apple a Day f

Gostei...

Here is a great, short book. Three horror shorts that are quite good. I really liked "Perfect Fit". Large type and double spacing make this book really easy to read.

When the main character starts hearing voices i found it quite weird because i don't hear voices. I was quite suspicious because when her mum got better from being ill, the main character got ill. I thought this book was a good book if you are into horror

This is probably my favorite of the Midnight Library books so far. I loved the story about the boy and the apple orchard the most; nice and creepy.
