An amazing portrayal of the electoral system, specifically the American presidential system. Reed takes readers on an amazing journey through the ins and outs of the process, including the dirty underbelly of interest groups, while shining the light on the intricacies of the system.

I couldn't get past the first thirty or so pages, maybe if I had I would have found the 'smart' in this poli-thriller.
The premise seemed pirated, the pop culture references were a decade out of date before it was published, and the smart insider talk sounded like someone took Aaron Sorkin's table scraps, put them in a blender and broadcast it out of my ass.
I suppose it might be passable for pop fiction but books like this are what makes Dan Brown seem like a genius.

Could a third-party candidate ever win the White House? Throughout my life, the answer has been a pretty clear "no" - but this novel by Ralph Reed will make you think differently about that.

GREAT book! Fictional, but lots of parallels to the Obama/McCain election and corruption in government. Worthwhile read....I recommend it!
Excellent book! Parts of it reminds me of many previous elections. fast read
This guy seems to have an obsession with trendy women's clothes.
Don't care for Reed's politics, but he wrote a great book!
I liked this book right up until the end becasue I thinkn there were too many questions I still had at the end of it. I did like that it showed the inside of a presidential campaign and all the deals made for support with special intrest and other politicians. Not a bad book for $1.99
This was a very good book about what happens to a presidential race when a very viable third candidate enters the race. The book gives a good behind the scenes look at politics.
