In my opinion , this book is an exiting thriller because it is filled with action and adventure . I can relate to Luke(as a kid) because I always want to do things that my mom doesn't let me do . If this book was part of a series then I would continue to read the other books because ANHTLOLS is action packed and I'm sure the other books in the series are just as exiting as this book . One of the strengths of this book is the detail . For example, I could practically be Luke as he fought Syble ....more
Today I read the last of the book today. My favorite part was when Luke fell for Sybil’s illusions. It’s funny that Luke wanted to ride a speeder. I always wondered how Sybil made her illusions. It’s strange that Tatooine has at least 2 suns. It’s cool that Luke has his own speeder. I liked it when C-3PO and R2-D2 argued about witch direction to take. If I could add to the book, it would be Luke announcing that he is a Jedi. I liked the book because Luke shows bravery with Sybil’s illusions. If...more
I LOVE hearing about his early years before he ran off with Obi-Wan. Big Luke Skywalker fangirl so reading this is just amazing!
This book was quite good. I was surprised since it is a children's book. This book manages not to talk down to children too much. Usually when it does it is in the interlude sections which are relatively short. The story is exciting and interesting and contains things about luke that you may not know if you haven't read the comics, listened to the radio adaptation, or sen the original script.

Life of Luke Skywalker is about Luke growing up on Tatooine to when he fights the galactic empire. ON his journey through the galaxy he encounters many enemies that he fights. But what he doesn't know is that his biggest enemy is himself, by fighting the bad force in his head from the mind witch. This book leaves you on the edge of your seat until the end.

My Opinion: I thought this book was very cool. There were some breathtaking scenes in the book that made you think "What IS GOING TO HAPPEN,...more
Due to a little more creative writing, this was a lot more interesting than the other titles.
Ms. Patterson
Just like it says in the title, this book tells the story of the life of Luke Skywalker from his childhood on Tattoine to his participation in the rebellion against the Empire. Basically, it combines events shown or mentioned in the movies and puts them in novel form. This is a must-read for Star Wars fans, but probably of little to no interest for others. I give it a C, Optional.

the best star wars book of all time, something about it just sucks me in. i've read it 5 times, loving it each time, and each time read it non-stop for around 2 and a half hours. amazing
I now know all kinds of things I never suspected about Luke Skywalker, as my son continues to share all the information he learned from this book, which he loved, and read in 3 days.
Fun read. The other two books have more scenes from the actual movies than this one does. I like how this one has some plot after the movies as well.
Super XXXXX Man
this is not a great book but it tells about the life of luke skywalker from child to the end (nor realy, just to the end of the star wars series)
It was one of the best books I have ever read I borrowed it from my school library so sadly I don't own it
