I bought this guide to prepare for the Microsoft exam. I passed the exam, and I learnt some useful things by reading this book, so in that sense it's ok. However, there are far too many errors! I've read the corrected edition (from June 2012), and 3 years after publication I've still submitted several errata through the website. Also, I found that the information wasn't presented clearly, particularly in the early chapters that covered deployment; it would have been better to start with a simple ...more
I'm currently reading this book. Even though I've from the devoted Unix/Linux family, I realized that people I train and work with NEED to have a mastery of these skills in the workplace. I'm planning on teaching a course this summer in our Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) 2012 and I really need an affordable book from which to teach the class to our participants. pretty disappointed in this book, some sections go into a lot of detail and others seem to be really rushed, felt like they were topics not of interest to the authors.
