This book is basically urban fiction. Basically if you like Eric Jerome Dickey, Zane, and/or Noire, then you'll like this book. While I do like Zane to some extent, this book fell flat in places for me. I don't know if it's because I'm not a big fan of the urban fiction genre so a lot of what the characters thought or believed was hard for me to a) agree with or b) relate to. I don't know. I thought this might be an interesting read for my research on stalking. My goodness, I was wrong!
The first couple of pages were good and promised much but sad to say it ended there. I'd describe this book as porn. I'm not a prude and have no objection to well-written sex scenes and language that serves a purpose but this fiction contains neither. The sex is gratuitous, borderline violent and demeaning to the character of the fiancee. If I wanted to read that kind of stuff I'd pick a "Grey" boo...more

This was a random pick-up from the library. it sounded interesting. then i started reading it this morning on the way to work. i'm sorry to say, but the writing is like reading something a school kid would have written. It's just bad. It bothered me right away, I don't like the style or structure at all. I kept reading, since i wasn't at work yet, and it just went from bad writing to just raunchy. I just finish this book and all I could say was WOW! I didn't know how to feel through most off the book, I did think Damn Brandy from "A Thin Line Between Love and Hate" didn't have nothing on this chick. Ok...first...let me say, that I absolutely, positively can't STAND Xavier! Electa did an awesome job of making me dislike him. He's the kind of man that would ignore a girl like me until he found out I could do something for him, then he'd try to charm his way into me doing whatever for him. WOW. Pilar should not be roaming the streets of America without being escorted by a psychiatrist or a police officer! This book was a definite page turner. I couldn't put the book down, besides the fact that I had to go to work. I picked this up thinking this sounds like a good book for my pick at our book club. Well I had to change my mind because it is to racy for the club but I enjoyed it.
This book is filled with graphic sex, violence, and some serious stalker issues. I was glad it wasn't a long book because I really wanted to see what was going to happen but I don't think I could have handled anymore "psycho" behavior. Boy was Pilar crazy and yes in fact it was warranted because of her childhood, but she approached Xavier wrong. I'm not saying his actions were right either, but if you want love you can't just throw yourself at a man and expect him to fall in love. i do think it is some what true that women can't differentiate sex from love. Be honest and up front about you intentions, be faithfully, and be careful of stalkers.
I read this book for my monthly book club, and was only mildly impressed. The book starts out slow, and it's not really well written. But, once you get a few chapters in, you want to know what this crazy chick will do next.
There is a sequel, which one of my friends said has a better plot and more charcter background. I'm going to get around to reading that, but it's not at the top of my list.

The chick is crazy. I gave it a 4 only because it was hard to stomach at times. I don't do the key the car and bust the windows out of the car deal. Never been in the business of keeping a man who don't want to be kept. Still though, I will be reading the next book because it was good in a crazy, demented, psychotic type of way. LOL
I enjoyed reading this book! What really caught my eye was how the author bounced back and forth from the two main characters who stayed interesting thoughtout the entire book and had many different sides to them. The author made a point to leave some of the most shocking details until the end and that kept me reading and satisfied at the end!
First book read by Electa and I like her writing style.

I really liked this book. Pilar is the definition of a stalker, for real. The story kept my interest the whole way through. Definitely a must-read!Electa Rome Parks
when we meet someone you better know something about the person because if that like you and be come a stalker you are in fot big trouble and a treat. Thats what happen to xavier when he met pilar she was a very sick chick. tThis was a good read.

I love this book. The characters took me on a ride. I felt their anger, frustration, and love. Diary of a Stalker is a book that can be read over and over again. It's the movie that you read something different each time.
This girl was plain NUTS, pretty from the description but NUTS!! Mental illness is serious if you know someone who is mentally ill, unfit etc please get them help or BEWARE SHE MIGHT END UP DATING YOUR SONS!
This book contains the word literally too many times for me to rate it any higher than one star. Bad writing, bad editing, and a horrifying scene I wish I could delete from my brain forever. Yikes.
Awesome read. Simply put, Pilar is crazy! How on earth this author made her likeable and relateable is beyond me. Good job!
I chose this as July's read for my bookclub and I wasn't disappointed. This was a quick and easy read for me. I didn't want to put it down. Pilar makes you keep reading just to see what her next stunt will be. Intrigued by Xavier's own naivity and recklessness, I found myself cursing at his stupidity. Here's surely a lesson in learning never to under estimate what actions a person will take and certainly not to take your life for granted. Your actions can change a life in the blink of an eye.
