Unfortunately, this was too much of a beginner's book for me to get much out of it. The parts I cared about it glossed over and the parts I didn't need, the author spent lots of time on. Too much "here's what to do" and too little, "here's why to do it."

This is a good introduction to Cocoa and Objective-C, but since it has to cover so much, it only goes into details on some of the more important things.

One major thing it skips over explaining is drag and drop (it's shown in the code examples for one of the projects near the end, but nothing is said of it in the text).

There are a fair number of grammatical mistakes (not that big a of a deal for me), but all the code examples work (with one exception - you don't need a single line of...more

Brief overview of Cocoa and Obj C. Doesn't go very in depth and doesn't explain the Obj. C concepts very well. No real exercises to do. Was disappointing. Big Nerd Ranch's book is much better.
