E già, non è che tiri proprio su di morale, ma se quello che ormai strilla all'unisono la comunità scientifica mondiale è anche solo parzialmente vero, siamo veramente nel guano fino al collo. CONCLUSIONI: "La guida steampunk all'apocalisse" non si può non leggere. Io consiglio di darle un occhio soprattutto all'appendice per chi volesse capire meglio il genere. Per uno scrittore rimane un libro di consultazione per un'ispirazione o per mettere le basi ai suoi scritti.
L'unico difetto che individuo, secondo me, è che prima andavano mostrati gli scenari apocalittici e dopo "la sopravvivenza". Io suggerisco di s...more

No I didn't give this a 5-star review because I table this zine OR because I'm friends with one of the authors. When people ask me what my favorite zine is, this is usually what I recommend. It's beautiful, it's funny, and it is jam-packed with helpful information. What more could you want? Nothing, I say, nothing.

Don't shy away from the association with the much-reviled, now-mainstream style of steampunk--this is a practical guide to surviving in a post-apocalyptic world. Unlike all those survival guides that just tell you how to fill your belly in the wilderness, A SteamPunk's Guide goes a step further and offers tips for interacting with other people after the collapse of society (because you probably still won't be able to avoid them completely). La lettura di questo libello è una dei primi passi da fare per prepararsi all'inevitabile apocalisse prossima ventura. Con ironia quasi mai cinica, la Killjoy mostra al lettore una panoramica dei principali problemi cui dovrà far fronte a breve.
L'articolo in appendice, che distingue fra steampunk nostalgico e steampunk malinconico, è molto importante. E i commenti negativi a questo libro ne sono testimonianza.

Guida ironica sul come sopravvivere all'imminente fine del mondo.
Va bene, scartiamo pure la profezia Maya (ma non del tutto) di modi per far finire il mondo ce ne sono moltissimi, alcuni dei quali già in atto.
Questa guida ci spiega come sopravvivere reinventandosi, ripartendo a produrre da soli ciò che ci serve senza elettricità. Poteva benissimo chiamarsi: Steampunk per necessità.

This was free, but was not a steampunk book at all. So if you are looking for a steampunk book do not waste time on this thing as it is not.
