I loved this book. It was a very touching story, with lots of emotions.
Natalie grew up in the foster care system. She was later adopted. Now that she is grown, she wants to give back. She got her aunt's house, when her Aunt passed away. She started a summer camp for disadvantaged kids. All the kids had a story, that really touched my heart. Natalie had one motto, that she would say often. "Wish it, see it, Make it happen". With her love, she made a difference in the life's of those children, a

Another sweet romance in the "An Island to Remember" series. This one features Natalie Steeger and Jamis Quinn. Jamis's tragic past has him living as a near-hermit on Mirabelle Island. When Natalie opens a home for disadvantaged children in the nearest house to Jamis's cabin, the two butt heads and, of course, eventually fall in love.

This was better than I was expecting. By which I mean that there was better character development, better conflict, and more genuine emotion than is usually in a book like this. I understand everyone's actions. Of course Jamis withdrew from society after what he went through, and of course he has trouble with trust but mostly with the fear of losing those he loves. And of course Natalie has trouble with relationships, abandonment issues, when she grew up in her early formative years t

Cover to cover in an hour. More brain candy. Good for a boring flight! The story drags a bit, usually these books are quick paced lasting only a few days or they condense weeks and this one did slow a bit, but it was still a cute story. Jamis makes me smile with his badass nerd thing. :) Natalie got irritating after a while. Still a cute quickie!

I loved this book. Jamis did the right thing at the end, and he shows he is sweet and kind. Not rude and grouchy like he led on.
