Attempting to write a comprehensive overview of current feminist thought is ambitious, and while Reclaiming the F Word is a decent starting point for readers who are new to modern Western feminist thought, its perspective is extremely limited and belies the white, middle-class, Western-centric nature of its authors’ feminist work. A well-tailored overview of the problems facing women and feminists today and the ways women and men around the world are solving them. While not very radical, the authors cover a lot of issues and handle the controversial topics adeptly.

Perfect gift for the person on your list who thinks feminism is over and women have achieved equality, or the anti-feminist. This is, however, from the UK, so the exposition is geared toward that land.
